Description
You see the bees? They don’t get tired.
While worthy as a wound dressing and known in the Hindu world as one of the five elixirs of immortality, honey is better known as the sweet syrup that we use sometimes rather than sugar to sweeten our coffee or drizzle over our biscuits at breakfast. It's known to have an easily digestible 1:1 glucose to fructose ratio, similar to the fruit we eat, that allows our bodies to make quick and efficient use of its energy without fear of an upset stomach. Sounds perfect for endurance athletes, doesn't it? That's why Honey Stinger uses honey along with tapioca syrup as the carbohydrate source for these Organic Energy Chews.
Along with Honey Stinger Gels and Bars, their Organic Energy Chews offer a taste and texture for anyone, anytime you need quick energy. Since the honey is composed mostly of simple sugars like glucose and fructose, it's readily absorbed by your body and turned into energy. You won't have to wait for the digestion of complex carbs before they can be broken down into these same simple sugars and used to produce energy for your legs. So quicker metabolization and a burst of energy sooner rather than later, sounds good to us.
Honey Stinger Organic Energy Chews are available in a box of 12 packets. Each packet contains one 160 calorie serving of Chews. Honey Stinger recommends eating them every 30-45 minutes during intense exercise to maintain elevated blood sugar levels, and so that you may be able to perform at your best. Organic Energy Chews come in four delicious flavors -- Cherry Blossom, Fruit Smoothie, Orange Blossom, and Pomegranate Passion Fruit.
- Gluten-free, dairy-free and non-GMO ingredients
- Lime-Ade flavor offers 32mg of caffeine from white tea extract

I use these for running and any other long, extensive exercise. These are good because they can fit in your pocket and you do not have to worry about them falling out. They taste great, and do not give you craps or upset your digestive system (can differ between people however). I would recommend these to any person who is training for a marathon or any long distance runs.
Taste Great

the only reason i give these 4 stars over 5 is that they're just a bit sweet for my tastes. i realize that's on me for buying something with the word honey in the name. i probably should have seen it coming. that being said, these really do give that needed kick when you're out on the trail and you just need something to get you to the top. highly recommended if you need a snack. just make sure to get the ones with caffeine.
Tasty

These energy chews are super tasty and really seem like candy to me. To be frank, I really don't feel like they give me much energy (nothing like an actual bar), but they are a nice snack to have on the trail/ride. You can't go wrong with any of the flavors, but Cherry Blossom is my all time favorite. When it comes to energy chews, I prefer GU Chomps or Clif Bar Shot Bloks for the energy benefit they seem to have over these, but these are more tasty.
Handy and yummy

I've was just recently turned onto these things and they're killer! I seam to digest them super quick which means fast energy for my hummingbird metabolism. At a buck fifty per package I don't hold back. Call me a redneck, but I really like to just keep one in my lip or cheek for climbs on the bike or skintrack. Seams to take the edge off somehow. I'm addicted to these little things. They're super tasty and at this price, it's an addiction I can afford.
Yummy

I love these for a snack in the middle of a hike or a bike ride. They are delicious and gluten free! I love the cherry blossom flavor.

My wife and I LOVE these little guys. Sweet, but not overpowering flavor, and surprisingly filling as a between-meal snack. I've tried gummies/ gels/ fruit ropes from a bunch of other manufacturers, and these gummies win hands-down. It's hard to not scarf them down at work or around the house.
And if you need any more reason to go for these, they're made from organic and non-GMO ingredients, which is HUGE for a processed trail snack
Yum

This is my favorite energy chew for running. I've tried fruit smoothie, cherry, and pomegranate and I like all of them. It tastes good which makes it easy to eat them when I'm running.
Perfect size and taste.

The biggest issue with these chews is picking which flavor to take! Unlike some chews, these are a great size and can keep moving (running or biking) and eat them.
Tasty!

But caution that the Pomegranate flavor is VERY sweet. I still love them.

the Honey Stinger chews are the best ones out there. small enough that you aren't chewing on a gelatinous blob for 5 minutes. they have a very light flavor and don't dehydrate you nearly as much as other chews. the new orange is really good for the hot summer days. lime always a classic, and naturally caffeinated!
LOVE these!

Number one, they taste like candy but they have healthy ingredients and provide consistent energy on my long runs. So tasty!
Limeade Caffeinated are the nugget of choice

I've never been a big fan of juicy little energy chews. Until I tried these. The limeade caffeinated are my favorite. They're soft and not too sweet and they pack just enough of a caffeine boost with electrolytes that they are a great addition to the rest of my endurance nutrition pantry. Note that I don't mix these with other brand chews in the same run. I have a sensitive stomach and mixing with Clif or other versions gives me stomach issues. I stick to Honey Stinger only and I'm good to go.
