There are totes, and then there are totes like the Herschel Supply Company's Market Canvas Tote. The Market Canvas is made from, you guessed it, cotton canvas, and is built to stand the test of time. Not only that, but the tough canvas will develop a lovely patina after a few years' use, making it all the more stylish.

A tote is a great black hole-type carrying solution, but there's a limit to the amount of time you're willing to spend digging around to find that car key, or memory card, or lip gloss. Herschel included a couple easily accessible pockets to help with just that. There's a zippered pocket on the outside, and a sleeve pocket on the inside to help you keep track of all the little things that would invariably end up at the bottom of the bag. The Market Canvas Tote is lined with Herschel's standard coated polyester, the bottom of the bag is reinforced for durability, and a leather strap ending in a magnet clip closes the tote.
