Why We Like The Rider 2.0 Insulated Jacket
For the first day at the resort or sledding in the backyard, Helly Hansen's Rider 2.0 Insulated Jacket will keep our children in safe hands. Its wind and waterproof design work in unison with low-bulk PrimaLoft insulation to make sure the elements don't leave them chilled. We like that it has a powder skirt too—that'll stop intrusive powder from freezing them.

Great Kiddo Jacket
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 5T
My friend's five year-old little guy wore this skiing with us and I was so impressed with their feedback that I am writing a review. He is average to slightly smaller than other kiddos his age and the size 5 fit him perfect! He loved wearing it his very first day skiing and looked and felt like a pro! Helly doesn't skimp on their kids gear, and this one is no exception. It has lots of adult features, like a powder skirt, pass pocket, and insulation/waterproofing. It has some warmth, but is best on mild winter days with layering underneath and early/late season skiing. We found his to be durable, comfortable and we loved the extra visible colors.

Runs small
I bought a 5T for my 4 year old, but the coat was too tight and the arms short. Had to return and will look for a different coat.

Seems good quality but runs small
Bought this for my newly turned 5 year old. Bought size 6 and it fits like his 4t Spyder coat. Returning for a size 7 so he can hopefully wear it next year too. Other than it running small, it seems like a great coat.
