The long-lasting Men's Eclipse GTX Mountaineering Boot from Hanwag has the hard-wearing durability that glaciers, mountaineering routes, and ice climbs demand. Gore-Tex gives this boot reliable waterproof breathable protection, and there's enough thermal insulation for below-freezing climates. Hanwag made the Eclipse's upper out of rugged leather with a TPU tip for rock protection as well as long-lasting durability.
Unlike most mountaineering boots, the Eclipse features a unique personalized volume adaptation, which includes two sets of tongues and insoles for a secure fit. Also unique to the Eclipse, Hanwag's customized lacing system uses two separate laces at the forefoot and cuff for additional security. Underfoot, Vibram's Alpine sole includes cushy foam at the heel, a shock-absorbing wedge, lugged rubber, and automatic crampon compatibility.
