Not quite Gregory

A few sticking points for me with this item. The biggest one is the water bottle pockets. So very difficult to fit a standard Nalgene in these pockets. If somehow I do get them to fit in the pockets, they have a tendency to work themselves out. Always, always, always carabiner these to the bag! Another place I see for improvement is just a bit more rigidity in the frame. The bag is a bit floppy for a 20L bag. For me, the center pocket gets lost. I’m either opening the rear pocket or the front…the zipper for the center seems to disappear in the folds of the fabric. Lastly, the waist strap…I don’t use it. This is a Plus size bag, and the waist strap is long. There is a place to tuck the waist strap into the bag, but it constantly falls out, and I often walk with the waist strap flying in the wind behind me. So close, yet not quite there Gregory.

Great plus size pack

I used this as a daypack on a 2 week National Park roadtrip. The bag was comfortable. The size of the bag was great for day use. It held everything I needed and more. Would highly recommend a gregory pack. I love the size inclusivity.

Perfect day bag for larger hikers

The bag itself is perfect! Super bright color, love the multiple pockets for different ease of accessibility. Where I messed up was not realizing that even though I'm plus sized, a plus sized pack was not the right choice. The straps are too long for my short torso and set widely apart. Very light and I would imagine comfortable for wider shoulders. I am 5'1" and 190 for comparison.

Nano 20 Plus Size day pack pros and cons

Sized for longer torsos; I'm 6'2" with a long torso so I like that. The shoulder straps are set wider apart and I need to use the chest strap to keep them on my shoulders. The water bladder pouch fits a 2L Camelback bladder, but the top bladder attachment strap should be 1" longer to make securing the bladder easier. The shoulder straps need to have optional pouches and proper attachment points for the pouches or anything needing to be mounted, like a knife or bear spray. This is a problem with most Gregory day packs. The waist strap is a disappointment. It's a thin 3/4" wide strap with a simple connector suitable to keep the bottom of the pack from bouncing around. It's very long...too long unless the user has a 60" waist. The waist strap is useless as a proper weight transfer waist belt, or as a place to attach any accessory or pouch. I've tucked the waist straps up into the pack to keep them from dragging on the ground. The pack back pad is pretty thin with a mesh cover that keeps the heat in versus allowing for any significant air flow. I appreciated being able to find a longer day pack for a longer torso and wished the Nano 20 Plus Size was readily available in stores to be able to make a more informed choice.

Great bag

I recently purchased this bag looking for something to fit more comfortably. I love the structure of the bag. It is very comfortable and seems to be super comfortable.

Love this pack

I’m a big dude and this is the first time I’ve found a backpack that fit me properly. I never knew, apparently, how comfortable a backpack can be.

Love it!

Love that Gregory makes plus size packs to fit more bodies. I have a larger day pack for longer hikes but wanted something smaller and lighter for shorter adventures. This pack was just what I was looking for! Small but still had plenty of room - I could fit a sweatshirt, water bottle, and other essentials, or also just right for my camera and tripod.

Big

Bigger than expected but not in a bad way. Love the zipper pulls that are large. But sure about the super skinny waist strap but don't hate it.

Versatile

This bag fits great. I’m short and thick and it’s super comfortable. I’m excited to use this for day hikes when I go to Sedona in March. The down side is that there isn’t a spot to tuck the waist straps if you decide not to use them all the time. It’s a good bag overall though and I’ll be using it to carry my laptop and lunch to work for the time being. Nice job Gregory on putting together such an inclusive and affordable bag 👍
