Great pack for day trips!

This pack fits all my needs for my daily commute. It’s light, and tough as nails. And I got free embroidery so I can always find it. My name is Gregory!

Comfortable Carry

I've only done a handful of day hikes with this pack, but from the very first hike it's been comfortable. More comfortable than the ultralight pack it replaced, and the one I used after the ultralight pack wore out and I tried to use instead of buying new. The suspended mesh back panel was a big selling point, and it does work: in January we hiked for three days in Palo Duro Canyon State Park, one day about six miles and two days about 11 miles each. Snow on the ground, winds blowing, and when I warmed up enough to take my jacket off, the breeze was clearly felt on my back. Warm hikes (next week in Death Valley) is where this feature will truly shine. The hydration sleeve and tube routing is excellent, with a hanger that works with my Camelbak bladder. Carry with about 15 pounds is light and balanced and I didn't need to use the hip belt. Each of the 11 mile days saw no discomfort during the day or once we'd finished for the day, which my last few day packs can't claim. I bought this based on 2.5 decades of Gregory pack use (dating to my Weekender and Robson packs), during which time I used other company's day packs, but, came back to Gregory when I read through this spec sheet. An excellent pack more than worth consideration.

Arrio 22 is overall nice bag

Biggest drawback to this bag is the side mesh pocket. It is poorly designed so that it does not properly hold a water bottle. Normal sized water bottles easily fall out. The weight of the bag is nice and light. Good air circulation on the back and fits well over shoulders.

Great bag and purchase

Finally, I've found a bag I really do like. I've been through way to many bags before finding what I wanted. The 22L suits me just fine. I carry my small mirrorless setup in this bag. Along with that, I can throw in an extra layer if needed too, plus snacks, and a small organizer pack. The side pocket does become cramped for me because of the camera insert I have inside. There is less give thus making the bottom portion of the pocket useless but that isn't a big deal to me. I use the top pouch to hold my keys and a Leatherman. I haven't tried putting my Nalgene in the mesh side pocket but I did ask Gregory about the bladder for this bag and it will fit either the 2 or 3 liter. Also, having the back panel away from your back is nice so as not to become a sweaty mess. Overall, I like the bag and it fits me just fine. I'm 6'3", 250lbs, with a 19" torso if that helps anyone. 4 stars and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice day pack.

Super comfy and functional!

I was gifted this bag and I love it! The material feels like great quality and has been very durable thus far. The straps are comfortable and feels nice when I'm walking / hiking. I will be buying another for my fiance for work!
