Bringing it back to the '80s with its retro swallowtail shape, the Gnu Original Swallowtail Carver Snowboard relives snowboarding's glory days when neon ruled the landscape and tweaked method grabs were cutting edge. Designed to effortlessly float through powder and rail euro carves to the envy of some hardbooters, the Original Swallowtail is a true freeride board that's ideal for cruising, carving, and having fun all over the mountain.
Keeping up to date with current board design, the Swallowtail Carver takes a hearty dose of 21st century technology with its XC2-profile, Mini Magne-Traction edges, and Liquid Crystal Polymer Fiber. XC2 offers a shortened, catch-free rocker between the feet, with lengthened radial camber under the bindings extending to the tip and tail contacts. This profile excels at both charging on groomers at high speeds and surfing across deep powder, making the board just as revolutionary today as back in '83 when Gnu launched the original Swallowtail Carver.
