With an award-winning, breakthrough design, the Giro Contact Goggle with Bonus Lens makes it easier than ever before to instantly adapt to the constantly changing weather and light conditions of the mountains. Fast, accurate, and secure, the SnapShot lens interchange system works by simply pressing the shutter button down for quick lens removal, and then self-locating magnets and a self-locking mechanism ensure effortless on-the-fly deployment of the new lens.
By shaving down the frame rim and adding frameless zones, Giro's Expansion View Technology optimizes the massive spherical lens by Zeiss for one of the best peripheral visions available in a goggle. Triple face foam ensures plush contact all day long, and always the right fit through its ability to contour to your face. Every lens filters out 100% of the harmful UV-rays found on the hill, offers an anti-fog coating for maximum clarity, and is attached to a frame that is compatible with any and all Giro helmets.

Pretty Rad goggles
The snapshot interchangeable lens technology is incredible. You an quickly go from Dark to light lenses without letting your hands get cold. The large frame fits a small face and also does not limit your visual field.
For the constant lens swapper
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I have always been a Giro fan, and I was definitely excited to hear about these new goggles with a simple lens swapping feature. Granted I have never been a person who swaps out my lenses on the lift, or even during the day for that matter - more often than not I do this at the car before I begin the day.
For their intended purpose, these goggles work great. The magnetic retention system works for very easy transition from one lens to the next - something that can be done anywhere in a matter of seconds, with or without gloves on. Their "snap shot" system adds a simple retention feature that other magnetic lenses do not have - like the Anon series. I believe this adds peace of mind, but not sure how critical it is.
The face foam is really plush, double silicone bead on the strap, and the goggles have a great over all fit to them.
The biggest drawback for me is the reduced field of view. As you can see in the picture, because of where the magnets are positioned, the gaskets are pushed much more inwards than compared to a lens from a Giro Onset. The peripheral vision is about the same as the onset, but the overall view is a little less.
I have read other reviews, in which the reviewer notes some fogging. So far, whether it is a bluebird, cloudy, or even a blower powder day I have not experienced any problems with these goggles fogging up.
Hopefully in the future Giro can come out with a similar option, but one that removes the ever present magnet intrusion to your field of view.
