Competitive Cyclist Team Summer Gloves

In the same way that you become 'reacquainted' with your saddle after taking some time off of the bike, so too do your hands need time to familiarize themselves with the bars and hoods again. It takes a few rides, but we often get to the point where the gloves are left at home -- our hands become hardened and the weather stays hot, so we opt to ride without. But, for times when we need just a little coverage, moisture wicking capabilities, and extra grip, we reach for the lightest gloves that we're able to find. This is the reasoning behind Giordana's Competitive Cyclist Team Summer Gloves.

The Competitive Cyclist Team Summer Gloves were designed for warm weather riding conditions, as they're a stripped down version of your standard short-finger gloves. This came at the request of our team riders, who were used to training without gloves, but knew that they provided necessary benefits come race day. Giordana accomplished this by using two specific materials. For the pack panel, its Moxie fabric was selected, as it's a treated nylon/spandex used in Giordana's bib shorts and skin suits due to its ability to rapidly wick moisture away from the skin. The material is also incredibly lightweight and highly elastic, meaning that it breathes well and conforms to a multitude of hand positions.

For the palm, Giordana added its Kinderpoint material for its excellent grip and light padding. Giordana knows that riders like to receive road feedback through their handlebars, which is why it kept the gel padding to a minimum. The result is just the right amount of cushion and support, while still letting you feel the road surface beneath you.
