Ovik Twill is Nice Midweight Shirt, Big!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

- XL

I'd guess the Ovik Twill is made from close to a 6 oz per yard cotton twill, making it a midweight flannel. It has a nice heft to it. My XL shirt has a 52" chest, meaning Fjallraven designs their "relaxed fit" Ovik Twill shirt with a ~7" clearance (see Fjallraven's Size Guide, Backcountry's Size Chart is - frustratingly - different). I have a 46" chest (so I should have gotten an XXL), but my XL is still a bit loose. One could probably size down one (or two) sizes and have a shirt with a slimmer fit. The box pleat in the back will help with shoulder and arm mobility. The biggest complaint regarding size is that the sleeves run long (mine is over 36" long). As with most Fjallraven shirts, the length is also long, but this is useful for cold weather. Unfortunately, the Autumn Leaf/Dark Navy colorway is more orange and black (not navy) and the shirt has an overall dark/black coloring to it that is not represented well in the stock image. If you are familiar with Fjallraven's unique fit then there is nothing too new in my review regarding sizing, but the color inaccuracy is most unfortunate. It's still a nice, warm midweight flannel, however, and maybe the color will fade to what is advertised after a few washes.
