Runs a bit large

Size Bought:
L/XL
Weight:
158

I ordered the L/XL based on the sizing chart. I'm a 58/59 euro depending on the manufacturer. The hat I received was a bit to large, as a light wind could blow it off my head (I could fit 3 fingers between the brim). I haven't tried the smaller size due to shipping cost. So if your on the edge of the sizing chart, size down.

European Design Downsizes a Large Head

Size Bought:
L/XL
Height:
5' 9"

A review from Anthony: I'll be honest with you. Normally, I don't prize my sun hats here in Los Angeles highly enough to write my name in them. Losing another one is fate telling me it's time for a change. The cool thing about European design is its sense of proportion. My melon doesn't loom so large, and a bucket brim doesn't shade a lake like a Booney. The material is thinner than others, but maybe Fjallraven chooses to use less material to keep a few threads out of the landfill. Normally, sun hats come in terrain colors. I was absolutely thrilled to get the very last sea Navy hat in stock. I probably won't need a replacement because I'm uncapping my Sharpie to write my name on the laundry tag. I guess only Tilleys leave lines to ID the owner, but that's a scruple not worth sunburn.
