The Fizik Antares VS Braided Saddle is part of Fizik's popular Versus line, providing comforting pressure relief in the form of a large center channel. The channel also preserves the seat's structural integrity over time. This seat features a carbon reinforced nylon shell for enhanced stiffness and support. The shell is then finished with a smooth Microtex cover with glossy thigh glides.
The saddle is available with your choice of rail materials. The carbon braided 7 x 9-millimeter rails help to shed 30 grams off its Kium rail counterparts, with the seat coming in at only 179g. The Kium version is a little heavier, but it's also less expensive and you can tighten the saddle clamp without fear of wrecking the rails.
Fizik tailors its saddles to one of three different body types, based on spine flexibility. As such, the Antares VS Braided Saddle is optimized for what Fizik dubs Chameleons, or riders with medium spine flexibility. You can test out your spine flexibility by relaxing your arms and upper body towards the floor. You're a Chameleon if the tips of your fingers extend to the mid-shin area without stretching or overly extending them.
