The great classic Timberline
The classic Timberline design with a few tweaks. Really like these classic Eureka tents. Bought this to replace a 2 man timberline that went off with one of my kids. Wanted to get one before they stop making them

The SQ 4XT
Great tent all around. Our Scout Troop will be replacing their current tents with this particular tent.

Close to perfect
Exactly what I was looking for. Simpler/quicker to setup than my large dome tent. Used the base timberline model as a scout for several years in the late 90's. The spreader bar is nice to provide more head room. I do agree with the other reviewers that I wish they kept the windows opening from the top for better privacy.

Never tire of this tent
Have had Timberlines for decades. This is my second 4-person. My last one lasted 17 years. This is my second year with my new SQ 4XT 4 Person. Used it a couple times last year, loved it. Used it a couple times this year. Every time I used it, it rained. The most recent trip was 5 days. It rained 5 days straight, sun never shined, tent was wet the entire time and we stayed high and dry.

Love it!
Replaced a timeline purchased in 97. This is just an awesome upgrade and worth the money to step up from the standard model!

Great tent
Bought my first timberline (2 person) when my sons were in Scouts almost 30 years ago. It lasted close to 20 years before the zippers went out. My grandson is in Scouts now so I decided to stick with the best. I got this style because the D shaped door is easier for me to go in and out of the tent. Looking forward to this one lasting as long as the other.

Eureka tents
I have been using a Eureka timberline tent and it has lasted over 39 years. Bought one for a grandson 5 years ago. And bought this tent for a second grandson. Eureka is a world class tent

Good but not as good as I expected
I bought this tent for a camping trip next weekend. I just set it up in my yard, and it is a nice tent but I'm keeping it only because I don't have time to return it and buy what I should have bought which is the Eureka Timberline 4. This is my 3rd tent, the first two were both Eureka Timberline 4 with 2 doors and each tent lasted 20 years of heavy summer use. I couldn't find a Eureka Timberline 4 with 2 doors so I bought this tent which has two doors and two design flaws. The first and most important is that instead of two zippers for the door, one along the floor and one up one side, there is one continuous zipper for the door and one continuous zipper for the screen. What I loved about the Eureka Timberline 4 is that on each end I could open the screen from the top of the tent creating screened triangular windows up high allowing excellent air flow through the tent. To partially open the screen of this tent you have to have the screen open on one side all the way to the bottom, which provides less privacy and more dirt/wet inside. The second design flaw is the vestibule is part of the fly which in some conditions might be good but usually it just blocks air flow. I left the vestibule half open, and a wind gust ripped it's stake out of the ground (sand), so I just rollled up the vestibule and secured it to the side of the tent. If this is your first tent or you've never had an A-frame tent, you will think it is very good, but I am disappointed. I recommend a Eureka Timberline 4 with two doors if you can find one and a separate vestibule if you need one.

Handled the rain
As a scout I used the original Timberline and it was easy to setup and worked well in the rain. This tent was also easy to setup and I love the extra space over the original. I have finally taken out and tried. I sealed most of the seams but rain found it's way into a corner seam I missed. I like the vestibule as extra rain protection. We had a heavy down pour and lightning too. The tent held up well. Excited for the next trip.

Roomy and easy setup
I bought this last month for wife and I to car camp with. We love it. Finally a tent we can setup together with NO arguments! Yep, it’s that easy. Very roomy for the two of us with extra large mats and a fury friend as well.
