Favorite Shorts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the only shorts that I will wear, I have 5 pair. Good fit and function with side pocket. The only downside is the fabric fades rather quickly with normal wear, and sometimes the sizing runs large.

Great all round short
Love these shorts. 4 pairs now. Prefer the 10" to the 8" as I have long legs, Strong and versatile. Great for hiking, beach and the city. Good hidden security pocket for passport, cell or wallet. Wash real easy, don't shrink and don't even iron them.

Honest Guy
Ordered this pair of shorts online at a Columbia store and the sales rep was extremely friendly and customer service oriented as she typed in the information to make this sale happed. Am very happy with them as waist and inseam were exactly as labeled and they fit quite nicely.

Stretch Fabric & New Taper = Gamechanger
Ignore the reviews claiming the stretchy fabric and new fit is a negative. It is ESSENTIAL. I've been wearing ROC shorts for years, and previously I'd have to replace them every 2 years like clockwork. The crotch would rip out every time. Now, I don't have to fear jumping up in my truck bed. The stretch allows for significantly more range of motion and durability, and the slight taper now enables max accentuation/flaunting of quads. GET THEM!

Poor Quality Control
Been buying ROC shorts and pants for a very long time. The style is great, but the switch to stretch fabric caused problems. Since the switch several years ago, quality control has tanked. Now the sizing is a crap shoot. I just purchased two pairs of each, all with a 32 waist. Three fit perfectly, but one pair of shorts is about an inch bigger. Also, the fabric does not hold up as well/long. If Columbia ever offers ROC Classic, I'm in.
