This shoe does not fit to size
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
- Size Bought:
- 12
- Height:
- 5' 11"
- Weight:
- 160
This shoe is fits sloppy, and has no support. Zero. Both the exterior box, and the shoe box, were punctured upon arrival. Not well packaged. After trying it on at home, I immediately returned it for these reasons. Backcountry is not a return friendly company. Not only do they charge for return shipping, but they kept the tax on the shoe. The latter I do not understand, as they have the shoe back, and they are reselling it. Honestly, I am not an attorney, but that has to be fraud on some level. Will investigate. I would not recommend buying from this store unless you have tried the item on elsewhere and you are SURE that it fits, and you are just looking for a cheaper price. In the end, you will lose money if you return it!

Comfortable but run big
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the shoes but they run really big IMO. Normally an 11.5 had to re-order 10.5

I want to like them but…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to really like this shoe, the weird fit of the right shoe made me return them. My heel kept lifting out and they just didn’t feel like a premium hiking shoe

GRREAT AND COMFORTABLE!
The quality of the shoe is nice however the only issue I dealt with was at the back of the shoe. The HEEL LOOP that assisted on pulling the shoe on broke requiring me to reinforce with needle & thread. Other than that, great shoe.

Upgrade from the Columbia facet 45
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a a big fan of the facet line. As I write this review, I’m wearing the facet 45. The Facet 75 alpha has some notable improvements in the synching system and the rear, pull on loop. These shoes are absolutely necessary for Pacific Northwest weather. They are easy to get on, have great traction, keep my feet dry, and look cool

Strange fit, excellent performance
My Fiance and I bought these for our trip to Alaska. The fit is a little funny and I ended up going down 1/2 a size where I feel the shoe is narrow and I have wide feet. My toes don't feel "secure". However, after a pretty thorough testing of hiking through rainy streets and trails to water falls our feet were dry and very comfortable. We walked through puddles and through shallow streams with no issue. Good grip on wet rocks. We have used them to walk our dogs in the morning dew or if it's raining out. The right socks/ rain pants are essential as if you do have water leak down your ankle you'll have wet feet. The overall fit is strange, but the shoes delivered.

Kinda disappointed
The front part “vamp” of this shoe feels rigid and wired when wearing. It also looks bigger than I thought.
