    Love!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L

I have a few other Columbia fleece jackets and per usual, this one is just as great! I got the charcoal/groovy pink one and love the pink zipper detail. The arms are a teeny bit long but have an elastic wrist which is nice for hiding your hands in when they get chilly. This is a warm fleece that works perfect for layering during the fall and very early winter.

    Not exactly the same.

    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I ordered the Charcoal Heather Gray/Groovy Pink Jacket and the Columbia logo was not pink like the picture. It doesn't completely ruin the jacket, but I expect to get the same thing that is shown on the picture.

    Great lightweight jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large

I originally bought this for the great price to take camping for the chilly nights and if it got ruined then no big loss . However, after I received it I have to admit it was more comfortable and stylish than the pics show! The sizing was perfect and gave extra room for layering. Super soft even after repeated washing. Definitely a keeper!

    Decent Fleece

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I bought this fleece for my sister, but this is one of the first fleece jackets I owned. I would call it a casual fleece. I never really wore it on camping or climbing trips since it doesn't have any stretch, but it was nice for walking to school or hanging around the house. The elastic wrist are pretty nice for stuffing your hands into when they are cold. It's super soft at first but after a few washes it loses the fluffiness, and no matter what it always made my hair static-y.

Colors are not the same on the website

I ordered 2 flee jackets (coral flame and Chameleon Green) . They are warm and light, but the colors are much lighter than the photos on the website. I was so disappointed.

    color is off

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: True to size

This is a great jacket, fits well, very soft. The only problem I had was with the coloring. I ordered the Bright Rose, and with that name, I should have known it would be a barbie pink. The picture however shows it to be a bright red so I just assumed it would be more similar to the picture than to the name...I assumed wrong. As I am not a huge wearer of barbie pink, this item will be returned.

    Good jacket

    • Fit: True to size

    Wife's review:

I really like this fleece - it has a good fit, is super soft, and seems to wear well. And it's inexpensive enough that you won't feel horrible if you damage it while putting it through the wringer. So far I've been very pleased with it.

    Funny story...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Apparently I'm an idiot and bought this same one last year for my wife :) She indeed loves it and has worn the original one for a year and it has very little wear. Its comfy and perfect for all of the quick trips she takes. Keeps her warm and looks great!!

It is a $35 dollar fleece.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Ok, think of the price then think of what you should get for $35 dollars.

Columbia sportswear is for your normal average person or someone that is on a budget.

My wife wanted another fleece for wearing around the house and I obliged her. Yeah, it is great piece for that.

It is a good deal for what you paid for. I would compare it to what you would expect if you went to a ski resort or resort town and they had branded fleece for sale. Nothing special and in time it isn't going to wear well.

You paid next to nothing so it shouldn't come as any surprise when it wears out.

If my wife wanted a piece for outdoor activities I would have gotten her a fleece that would have been 3 to 4 times more expensive. Because you get what you pay for.

For a growing child or for someone who thinks walking the dog is going out into the great outdoors.. Yeah, this is one you should look at.

As a gift for grandma or anyone who looks like they have no clue what to wear when they try and put on their play clothes... This would be a great gift to give them.

*EDIT* So it looks like I pissed off a few of the people I was talking about in my review.. Clueless people. I sold Columbia Sportswear at the shop I managed. We sold all the high end brands like Patagonia, The North Face, Marmot etc etc.. Columbia Sportswear is basic stuff. It was for people who didn't want to spend too much or they were buying gifts for others or for outdoor gear for their children or wife who doesn't do anything extreme. It is a decent deal but it isn't made to be a performance layer. It isn't. You wear it during basic outdoor activities and you just buy another one when the piece wears out and loses any sort of fluffy feeling or your kid outgrows it. Call it a family brand.

Sorry some of you uptight people got your panties in a bunch. Would I buy a kid a Patagonia fleece or a TNF fleece? Sure, But most people buy Columbia and call it good. It is good but you get what you pay for.

I have had one of my Columbia fleeces for almost six years. It not as soft as the day I got it, but it is still my go to for the perfect warm layer. My only North Face fleece I ever bought took a crap after two years. The trim started falling off and then soon after the zipper went kaput.

I am not saying that the crap TNF puts out is great. It is what the young kids want. The best fleeces out there are Patagonia. You pay more but you get your moneys worth. I threw my wife's Patagonia fleece along with this one in the washer the other day. I was zipping up all the zippers and the quality difference is night and day. But again, It is a $35 dollar fleece. You can buy your kid this fleece but they are really wanting a TNF one so they can fit in with their friends. The funny thing is most would want a TNF fleece over a Patagonia. I won't buy TNF clothing for myself or my wife. I do buy a ton of MHW and which is basically the higher end of Columbia. Mountain Hardwear fleeces are really good too.

What does the Burnt Henna look like? No picture is displayed on my screen for that color choice. Thanks!

Burnt Henna is a fairly bright "coral red" (more towards tones of orange, rather than a true-blue red). Really pretty and goes with lots of things for a pop of color, but I wouldn't use it as an everyday fleece color. This style is a great weight for year round wear & seems to run true to size for me.

Does this jacket attract lint? Does it shed?

    Jennifer,

One of the reasons I love fleece sweaters and jackets is that they stay looking pretty FOREVER (especially the high-quality variety). It doesn't rip easily, fixes nicely, doesn't attract lint, leaves, water, or wild animals like many other materials do, and it doesn't shed! It's machine washable and ready for anything, from light jogs to backcountry expeditions, ski trips to party hopping.

    Happy trails!
