Poor Buckle Mechanism
This is a do not buy. I have the Camo version of this dog collar and this morning while walking my dog the plastic buckle lost it's "give" inside the snap housing and let my dog loose leaving me to chase around the park! Due to safety concerns about the poor buckle mechanism dont put your pet at risk. Buy another product with a durable metal buckle.

Metal clasp wore down to a knife edge and cut our dog.
The plastic clasp wore down the metal part of the clasp until it was sharp enough it irritated and wore his fur down and began cutting into our Golden Retrievers skin. Poor quality and poor design. Shame on you Carhartt do better.

Poor quality clasp
My dogs have only had Carhartt collars. We switched from the tan to the blue as her medium was too tight. The new design with the half plastic claps is terrible. Purchased about a month ago and the plastic side already snapped in half.

Looks nothing like internet picture (camo color)
We love this collar. Axle Rose has had this before in a different color. We wanted the camo which on the internet is a nice camo shade of different greens. When we got it, it's dark brown looks like spray painted blotches of black. It's not horrible with Axle's brindle coat, just not what I ordered. I ordered a green camo and that's not what I got.

Collar Slips Off
We recently purchased this collar for our Chocolate Lab and lately it started coming loose on his neck and he slips out of it. We have to tighten it several times a day. Just a bit disappointing for the price we paid. Thought the Carhartt name would mean better quality and durability. Guess we just paid for the name?

stains fur grey
the collars look very nice and the clasp is reliable. we have had one last 2 years looking brand new. HOWEVER, the cheap metal of the clasp has been staining both my dogs' fur grey. time for us to find different brand collars for them…
