Fine-tuned with a highly responsive flex for cruising open bowls, sending cliffs, and slashing pow-filled glades, the Burton Imperial Men's Snowboard Boot caters to freeride enthusiasts seeking challenging terrain and untracked lines. Taking inspiration from Burton's top-shelf SLX Boot, the Imperial features incredibly resilient S4 shell panels that resist breakdown for a consistently tuned flex throughout the entire season. And like all of Burton's boots, there's the benefit of Shrinkage Footprint Reduction, which reduces the boot's footprint by a full size for less drag (especially if you're sized 10.5 +).

Loaded with Burton's Imprint 3 liner, the Imperial maintains high levels of comfort and support, ensuring a dialed fit from first chair until last. This thermo-moldable liner can be heat molded straight from the box or worn throughout the course of the season for a foot-conforming fit. You'll find supportive additions, such as optional J-Bars, as well as Burton's Focus Cuff, both of which hug the sweet spot around your ankle to prevent response-sapping heel lift. Additionally, the Imprint 3 liner features an Aegis antimicrobial treatment to prevent the build-up of smelly microbes.

Looking to the boot's midsole, you'll instantly notice its low-profile look and feel. The Imperial leverages an EST-optimized midsole for a more skate-like ride. This low-profile midsole, which stands for Extra Sensory Technology, drops the boot's overall height for better feel underfoot and instantaneous response. Balancing out its lowered profile, B3 Gel padding cushions harsh landings and high-speed chatter, especially when you're charging steeps and variable, bumped-up snow.

Rounding things out, the premium Vibram EcoStep sole is made of 50% recycled material. This high-quality sole is great for backcountry riders boot-packing just beyond the resort's boundaries or skinning on their split setup, thanks to tenacious traction provided by Ice Spikes along the toe for sure-footed grip on steep terrain. Moreover, Burton placed heat-retaining Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil for fiery warmth in the most frigid conditions imaginable.
