I bought this new on clearence at my local sports authority for $50 which I thought was alot, regular price was $150. I filled up with H2O and the thing leaked bad. But I managed to brew 2 cups. I liked the ease of use so i took it apart and found one sensors in the reservoir was loose and managed to tighten it. The thing works great now. If i had paid $150 i would have taken it back it, poor quality control . But for $50 i did'nt mind fixing it myself.

Great Idea...Terrible Product

The idea is great...and when the unit works...the coffee is convenient and great. Used the first unit 10 times this last summer while camping in Montana. The components of the unit will freeze up from rust if exposed to humid and moist camping conditions. A bad canister of propane will clog the fuel line as well. I've actually disassembled the first unit to confirm the review. I returned the unit for a refund and purchased another to give the product a thorough run. Cleaned the unit, per the instructions by running a round of water through the unit...all went well. The next day, tent camped Yosemite National Park and the top regulator knob became stuck and would not turn...propane unable to travel through fuel line! Found that the regulator switch is faulty. When the unit works...the result is great, unattended coffee in about 12 minutes. Not worth it!

Brewfire coffee maker

Not sure what the other revierers are griping about. I tried the Brunton Brewfire despite some bad reviews and found nothing wrong with it. I thought it worked great. Bought it for the coffee drinking dads in our scout troop and we all loved it. It works very well. Appeared to be made quite well and not poorly as previously reviewed. Brews up a pot of coffee in a short period of time without all the hassle of watching a perk pot so it doesn't boil over. My only complaint would be that the coffee could be a bit hotter. Overall a great all around coffee pot. Would recommend this coffee pot!

Don't do it

I read many mixed reviews for this product and in optimism ignored the negative. They all turned out to be true. We bought it for my dad for his birthday. After at least an hour to get it to turn on, it produced lukewarm coffee at best and leaked it all over the table. Definitely not worth what it costs. We returned it the next day and bought a competitors version for 1/3 the price and were happy to have fast steaming coffee for the remainder of our trip.
