High expectations, low durability liner

I gotta say, I love the idea here. I like all the color ways. I often run out of High Point (or run through there), so I'm totally a mark for this collection. I purchased the lighter blue/teal color way of the 7" 2-in1 shorts in September 2023, and by the middle of March 2024, the inner liner had two massive holes on the inner thigh. For shorts that are supposed to go the distance for trail runners putting on long hours, this premature breakdown was a disappointment. Otherwise: Loved the fit, the look, and the storage options. Shorts ran a tad baggy and big, but I was totally okay with that.

Good new shorts

Love the new shorts. Snug fit but responsive to movement. Love the colors.

I would prefer the other style I purchased after this one

Good but run big

Great shorts. Been using the Sherpa 2 in 1 but wanted to add the High Point for long trail runs. Unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews, why would I need to the Brooks shorts I already have are great. They definitely run big. I am a large with the Sherpa so went with a large for High Point. I’ll have to say, I will not be loading up the pockets! Go with a size smaller than usual or you’ll be pulling them up.

Sizing

Ran a little larger than typical shorts. Had to send back. Return was very simple and money was refunded quickly. I will be ordering next size smaller.

REALLY HAPPY WITH THESE! FIRST 2-1 BUT I'M A BELIEVER NOW. MUCH PREFERRED OVER TYPICAL BUILT IN BRIEFS. JUST WISH THEY WERE A LITTLE MORE AFFORDABLE

Disappointing quality for the price

The waist size was way too big and had no elastic. The drawstring construction is poor quality. I couldn't get the short to stay on without a lot of sagging. Overall I am very disappointed in the quality as I generally have been happy with Brooks products.
