not happy with this purchase
These shoes cannot compare with the Brooks Levitate 6 which I have been using and have great cushion and are very comfortable. These shoes Cascadia 17 GTX are stiff and are not very comfortable. Are kind of wide providing little support, have no support to the arch, and are narrow around the shoelace area. I'm not happy with this purchase.

Meh
Seems OK so far but a narrow fit. Havent been able to check if water proof yet

Disappointed
I own the regular Cascadia 16. When trying these on the fit was very snug in the height of the instep. The tongue is designed in such a way that (with my high arch) made them different to put on. I also ordered the regular Cacadia 17 which had a tongue that gave easier entry into the shoe. More on that in the review on those. Trail shoes need stiffness but I found the Cascadia 17 GTX so stiff and uncomfortable I put them right back in the box for return. Disappointed. I was excited about a waterproof shoe.

Great trail shoes
Very comfortable on the trail and off. Great tread. Haven’t tested in wet or muddy conditions yet, but I’ve had Goretex before and I know they’re extremely weatherproof.

Not for a wide foot
Seemed like it would be a great shoe but not sadly for a wide foot. Had ro return them.

Great hiking/running shoes
It has the same comfort and structure as my other Brooks shoes. But the deep grooves and treads help my stability in the more rugged and sloping trails.

Wide toe box, LOTS of support & cushion, beautiful design. This has to be my favorite Brooks shoe… I LOVE IT!!!😍

Great shoe, feels well made and durable.
Shoe fit is perfect, feels comfortable and just enough toe box room. Shoe is 100% waterproof (which is what I needed) however feet can get a bit sweaty after an hour or two even when just wearing around the house. I would recommend this shoe if you hike or run on a trail with lots of scree on a hillside; the shoe has durable tread perfect for a rocky slope.

Brooks Cascadia GTX
Love them. Comfortable out of the box. I wear a 10.5 regular and ordered an 11. I believe these may run a 1/2 size small as I was expecting a little more room but my toes are not jamming into the shoe on descents so they are fine. Plenty of room for my forefoot as well without being sloppy. The gore tex has worked well through wet grass but so far haven't tested them with rain. They are not hot on my feet while the temps have been high. Couldn't be happier. :)

I couldn’t love these shoes more. I have a bunion that often causes pain in my right foot and I generally have a terrible time finding comfortable hiking shoes. These were beautifully comfortable for seven miles of moderate hiking, and I also verified that they are in fact waterproof! Cannot wait to hike in them again.
