Great Boot, But Not Great on Snow Pack

I couldn't wait to get these boots because I've never liked the flatness of my traditional Blundstone boots. These are super cushy and have great arch support. They also look fabulous. I tried them out on snowpack, though, and they were like wearing ice skates. I was expecting Vibram-like steadiness, but I think the sole material is more like a Doc Marten sole, so I wasn't surefooted at all. As much as I hate to, I'm sending them back and will have to find something with a more snow-friendly sole.
