If something's called "the Bodacious", you know it's either A.) designed by Bill and Ted or B.) seriously legit. Assuming your favorite time-traveling adventurers haven't joined Blizzard's design team, it's safe to say that the fat, powder-gobbling Bodacious, is, well, bodacious. It's not the fattest ski in Blizzard's Freeride lineup--that honor goes to the Spur--but it's not far behind, with a 118mm waist and fully rockered shape that let it float, slash, surf, and smear turns through the deepest blower you're likely to find. You can pivot on a dime, snake your way through trees, and dump speed at a moment's notice, all without sacrificing a wide, solid platform.
This year's Bodacious is also 15% softer then previous editions, which makes it even more playful in pow, but still has two sheets of rugged Titanal that give it plenty of stability at speed, through chop, and on big-time cliff stomps. Blizzard also built it using its trademark Flipcore technology, which allows the flex to perfectly match the sidecut and rocker profile of the ski, supplying smooth turn initiation and a consistent, reliable feel that's tough to match. Take it from chop to deep pow to the deepest pow, but don't be surprised if you find yourself looking for excuses to make the Bodacious your daily driver.
