Awesome duffel
I was searching for a bag that can handle all my gear for an upcoming mountaineering trip to the Peruvian Andes. It has to be just big enough to carry all my climbing and mountaineering gear, including a 75L backpack), the Stonehauler didn't disappoint, the internal compression straps are really useful, the padding is perfect, and the dirty clothes storage is just amazing, god knows how it is needed after a couple of days at the mountains. Heard a lot about some issues with the backpack straps but, in my case, i have a big back and wide shoulders so I didn't feel any kind of discomfort, at least not at the moment

Big storage, still a carry on
Great bag. Lots of storage and can still be a carry on if it’s not packed to the gills. I love the laundry pouch. Zipper and straps are sturdy.

Great Bag Awesome Customer Service
The Stonehauler is a durable and quality bag. Having used a 60L for several trips and outings I felt is was worth going for the 90L to accommodate my families needs. It has a nice layout in the inside, and the external straps are comfortable as a makeshift backpack. There are several major companies producing similar bags, but the Black Diamond Stonehauler seems to have a slightly better build quality for a reasonable price. It is eloquent on the inside with a nice blue nylon liner and burly on the outside with heavy duty fabric. I do not shy at tossing it around when loading and unloading gear. I have confidence it will last for years being abused and that it will still look and function well. The heavy duty zippers have great pull tabs which is a bonus. Other than that it is a duffel, but it is an excellent duffel. I needed to expedite the shipment after placing my order, and the customer service representative helped get it to me on time. They were professional and just overall great to deal with. It was the first time I ever needed to deal with customer service. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed at which they responded and how they helped accommodate my situation. Black Diamond is a great company.
