The design of the Astro
The design of the Astro is really nice and the different settings are very fun to switch through. The weight is really good and the band is able to tighten enough that it doesn't move around on my head when I run.

Just the basics
A lamp that any neophyte could operate. It’s my second. Paired with the rechargeable fuel cell, it’s a win. I just wish it had a red light option, a nice addition for those of us who prefer to wake up to a less intense beam.

Light weight, Simple.
I was looking for a light and simple product and I just thought that it was appropriate.There is one button, and the adjustment of the headband size is intuitive. In particular, I like that the headband is detachable and washable.

Perfect affordable light
I picked up this headlamp the other day. It simple, bright, brightness adjustability and it has a lockout function. What more can you ask for! I purchases to be a back up to my higher end BD headlamp because it always seams like I don’t have it when I need it the most, especially in my car. This is perfect affordable light to throw in your pack or vehicle for emergency situations without sacrificing on performance!!!

Reliable, simple to use and bright!
In a world of complicated designs and the battle for who has the most lumens, I just wanted a simple and reliable headlamp. The Astro doesn't disappoint. The strap is comfortable, even with 3 AAA batteries installed. The fact it is rain and storm proof is great for backcountry adventures, as well as the "lock" to make sure it doesn't accidentally turn on in your pocket or pack. 300 max lumens is more than enough for most backcountry adventures. There is also an option for a rechargeable lithium Ion battery from BD. For an inexpensive and reliable headlamp with BD quality, you can't beat this headlamp.
