We like hiking in Asolo's Altai Evo GV Boot when the trail has a solid combo of mud and rocks. It has a rugged Schoeller K-Tech upper backed by GORE-TEX Performance Comfort for waterproof, breathable protection. Thanks to the PU rand and rubber toe cap, the upper is all the more durable. Mix in Vibram's MegaGrip rubber compound and a supportive, stable midsole, and we're well-prepared to hop over boulder fields and skip across slippery mud with sure-footed confidence.

Great quality boot size runs big

This boot runs 1-2 sizes larger than the stated size. I typically wear a size 12 US men's in boots from other manufacturers, but even a US size 11.5 in this model is still too big. Also, the toe box is quite large. For wide feet\not for narrow feet. Need to wear 2 pairs of socks. This boot it quite stiff. It would break-in with daily wear, but still it is a stiff boot. The materials used and quality of manufacture are both very high.
