Description

Go fast without killing your arms.

You're not into leisurely “laahdeedaah” paddling—your style is fast and powerful for athletic touring, paddle workouts, or adventure racing, and you're looking for a lightweight, two-piece paddle. Grab the Aqua-Bound MantaRay Fiberglass Paddle. The MantaRay Fiberglass Paddle puts 34.7 ounces (for the 220cm) of arm-engine power in your hands for a cost that won't break the bank. The blade's beefy construction and cross-sectional shape mean you get instant power for each stroke, and the two-piece design makes it easy to store this paddle inside your kayak or truck for transportation.

First, my experience with BackCountry has been exceptional. The price of the paddle was the best I could find anywhere and the product was received very quickly.

Regarding this paddle - being a strong paddler, I had no idea that my inexpensive, aluminum shaft was keeping me from a better kayaking experience. The Aqua-Bound MantaRay fiberglass has made paddling my sit-on-top a much better experience. Lighter, less blade flex, and the comfort of the fiberglass (less heat/cold transfer) has made it so I am not whipped after six hours (every Sunday) on the water.
Good stuff !

Does this paddle have an ovalized grip?

Yes, the Manta Ray Fiberglass paddle does have an ovalized grip. Aquo Bound ovalizes all of their touring shafts.

Just purchased one and the grip was not "ovalized".

had mine for 3 years and love being able to make my yak race through flat water. One day I injured myself so my wife decided to try out my paddle. An hour later I was informed that she wanted one as a Mother's day present.....

Love it
