Magical for my feet
Loved your podcast on Tetragramatron. Inspired me to buy my first pair for the trails . They feel harmonious on my feet like heaven on earth. I Would joyfully recommend them thank you for your crafted talent. Angela

New favorite pair!
Just completed my first trail race of the season in the Olympus 5 and was very impressed! I normally wear the Lone Peak but wanted some more cushion for longer runs and these delivered. My feet feel amazing- zero pain. I am obsessed with the orange color and get so many compliments on them. Size-wise- I'm usually a 9 in running shoes but both of my Altra's I size up to 9.5. I have a narrorwer foot but the width was great. I think these are going to be my new go-to!

I finally found the perfect shoe!!
This shoe checks all my boxes. Wide toe box, good cushion and grippy tread. I love it!

Not the same as previous Olympus
I've been backpacking in the Olympus for years. This is the first pair to give me a blister. They also lasted half as long as my other Altras. I hope this is an exception and not the new norm.

perfect shoe
Super comfortable shoe, toe box is the best I've ever found. Excellent support and comfort. They make me want to walk all the time!

Sizing way off, slips off foot every step
I ordered the same size as my lone peaks. These were a full size too small, with my toes crammed up against the front of the shoe. The first step I took in them, I could feel my heel pulling out of the shoe. I walked across my kitchen, took them off, and returned them. They look amazing and I had high hopes, but was very disappointed in the shoe.

Different than any other Altras I've owned
Wore 3 days and I had SO many blisters (never a single one from my other Altras). Fabric also broke down after 3 days. Returned immediately.

Disappointed
Started the AT and in less than 100 miles the left toe started peeling back. 50 more miles, right shoe doing the same! both shoes are being held together with shoe goo. Expected them to last longer.

Great but not great
The reason I gave this shoe a three star review is because the cons outweigh the pros. I have purchased many of the Olympus before an overall they have been great. The pros: very comfortable, great grip on the soul and very durable. The cons: the shoelaces do not stay tied. The heel tends to slip out of the back of the shoe if not tied tightly enough. Also, the tongue of the shoe tends to slip. The laces are very hard to tighten from the toe of the shoe. Overall the comfort and the grip are worth it, if you are willing to put up with the cons I've listed.

Great shoe
I recently had a total knee replacement. Used to be a hoka lover but after knee surgery I really felt like I needed something more "balanced" feeling. These shoes are perfect. 4 months out and back to hiking because of how solid yet cushy they feel.
