Effortlessly capture high-quality, cinematic-inspired video with the 3DR Solo Drone. This drone kit contains everything needed, besides a compatible GoPro Hero 3, 3+, or 4, to control and capture awe-inspiring footage of picturesque landscapes, action sports, major events, and anything else you can think of. Designed with powerful dual 1-GHz Linux processors, the 3DR Solo Drone opens up an entirely new world of aerial video that's simply not possible without extensive support by camera crews and helicopters.

The 3DR Solo Drone features a variety of flight modes, allowing you to focus on getting the perfect shot, instead of struggling to pilot the drone within a preferred flight path. In fact, you'll find its Cable Cam (moves between two linear points), Orbit (circles subject of interest), Selfie (pans out on your location), and Follow (tags along to film subjects in-motion) modes free up the camera action for your own creative liberty and shooting potential.

The video game-inspired controller offers intuitive controls for anyone who's played with popular gaming systems, allowing for easy flight operation and video recording. This controller communicates with the 3DR via a secure Wi-Fi network. Additionally, the controller features an easy-to-read in-flight display, mobile device cradle, HDMI output for connecting to external monitors, and in-flight buttons for pausing flight operation and controlling the GoPro's camera (only with separate 3-Axis Gimbal).

Controlling the operation of the 3DR Solo Drone, the 3DR Solo app is free for both Apple and Android devices, acting as an in-flight guide with satellite imagery available for determining the flight pattern and video location. It also streams live footage directly to your mobile device (via secured Wi-Fi network), taking the guessing game out of video recording. Software updates are free of charge for continual improvements in the drone's operation and recording.

Inside the box, you'll find a 3DR Solo Drone, flight controller, propellers, Solo Smart Battery, and chargers for both the drone and controller. The drone itself is limited to flying 328 feet above the ground surface, with a maximum 25-minute flight time and 1/2-mile range. Please note, the 3-axis Gimbal is sold separately, which controls the GoPro's recording buttons in-flight, also stabilizing footage and powering the GoPro camera.
