Awesome Company!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great warranty, Sea to Summit sent me a new sleeping pad after my original pad had a defect that occurred years after purchasing it. The sleeping pad is light and perfect for backpacking trips.

I am a huge fan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a huge fan of S-to-S products. I own dozens of their bags, pads, liners, towels, etc. This sleep pad excels in two areas. First, it packs down pretty small for a SI mat. Second, it is comfortable once fully inflated. The downside is that the self-inflating function is not great. I leave the mat inflated while stored in hopes of not damaging the core. Unfortunately, it still does not inflate well on its own, even after being packed for just a short time. I do not believe this is a unique problem to this brand or model, more of an universal limitation. I highly recommend using a S-to-S bellows stuff sack to assist in filling up the mattress. S-to-S should consider making all their mattress stuff sacks the bellows version. I have two and they are awesome.

Good balance of size and performance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packs up small for a self inflating mattress. It's comfortable and keeps me warm so far. I like self inflating mattresses because it's a bit of insurance against leaks. You can at least have some cushion if it fails. It does seem slightly thinner than other mattresses I own of the same claimed thickness but I haven't actually measured it.

Good trade off between weight, functionality, comfort
On my third year using the pad, which was an upgrade for me primarily to avoid having to inflate an old REI sleeping mat, but turned out to be very helpful when I bought an ultralight backpack - it serves as the internal support system very well. It is comfortable enough, more so than the REI pad, and once I got the hang of deflating it for packing, is a pretty great piece of equipment. Also not very noisy, which is a plus.

The foam tore apart in the first use!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- Regular
- Height:
- 5' 10"
- Weight:
- 155
After I inflated it with my lungs, the foam inside started tearing apart, creating a "pillow" growing over time. And this was before I even tried to lay on it. Hopefully, I can get the money back.

Comphort light S.I
I've been hiking the Appalachian trail and I couldn't be happier with this Mat. I'm a side sleeper and this has been a dream to sleep on . Not to mention Nate in customer service was a huge help in getting my mat replaced.

Too bulky for packing or bicycle touring
Purchased the pad for bicycle touring, but once inflated, it is nearly impossible to repack to the size from the factory. The pad takes up more than half of my large rear pannier. Secondly, what is with the valve; it seems totally old school; something seen on camping gear from the 1960's. Not only is the inflation cap flimsily connected to the pad, I need two hands to open or close the valve. I read of one review suggesting that the pads is good for stretching - that seems appropriate. I now use the pad for car camping. The pad contains a great of mass of internal foam, it self-inflates within 10 minutes; you can hear the air being sucked inside. When the self-inflating ends, I only need one breath to top it off to an acceptable firmness. I do find the exterior material to be slippery. I can't imagine remaining on the pad if camping on any sloped ground. So, while this makes a fine pad for an emergency guest bed and car camping, I believe it is far too bulky to be of value for most cycling or walking adventures, which include overnight camping.

Burst Baffles
My second use and I have an 'extra pillow" due to burst baffles inside. I tried to return it to the reseller who told me they do not have stock to exchange as this is discontinued model. that leaves me stranded without options. This is so disappointing.

Great
Bought this for my son. He says it’s awesome. I’m fairly thick and I prefer a little thicker but that’s just preference.
