Readily adjustable
Love the velcro waist adjustment. Thigh vents are perfect to dump heat. And don't have to wear gaiters in all situations anymore with reenforced ankles.

They're durable and activity specific
Used for long day outdoors during search and rescue dog training. Very comfortable, easy to vent while clambering around. Rugged without looking or feeling too stiff or hard. Fits a bit snug.

"water resistant"
I bought these for walking in wet weather. I know water resistant doesn't mean water proof but the first time wore these in a light rain my thighs were soaked through in scout 10-15 minutes. The upper material, while comfortable and stretchy, can hardly be considered water resistant. If I wore these in a heavy downpour I might as well just dump my entire water bottle down my pants and save some time.

Great touring pant for snowbaorders
Great touring pant for snowboard boot fit. Might be a little tight getting the cuff over ski boots. At 6'0'' 175 lbs with a waist of 33" I hover between medium and large fits often. The large worked perfectly. the adjustable waist band with velcro fasteners are great. They are lightweight yet durable. The right amount of stretch, and the hip/outer thigh vents are great.

Purchased as an Alternative to Cirque IIs
I purchased these pants as an alternative to the Cirque II pants. I LOVE the cirques and these seem to be very similarly made, but with two large vents on the side. On an early spring hike heading into an alpine zone, I lamented to a partner on the ascent that the cirques are nearly perfect but the ability to vent them as you transition from warmer to cooler temps would make them even better. Discovered these on OR's site and problem solved. I've done some light hiking in them this spring and they seem to have the same fit and finish as the cirques. Can't wait to test them in the White Mountains next winter. Minor gripe: the waist on the medium is a bit tight, but that may also be an indication I need to get out there more. Would strongly recommend these pants.

Poor fit consistency across OR products; pants too large
I haven't used these pants in the wild as they are far too large on me, so I'm specifically writing this review to call out the size inconsistency. I have a pair of OR cirque pants that i absolutely love! I've had them for years and they are wonderful pants. The cirque pant and the trailbreaker II pant are both a "standard fit", so i expected them to be the same size with an identical fit. The cique pants fit me perfectly and the trailbreaker II pants are very baggy, both size medium. For reference I am 5'11" and 158lbs. These will not work for me and now I have to waste my time returning them.

Great pant
Second pair of this pant. Love it for all types of skiing. Light enough for touring but beefy enough that it doesn't fall apart.

Best ski touring pants
This is my 3rd pair of these pants and I'd highly recommend them to others. The pocket placement is great, especially the "behind the knees" pocket where I keep my avalanche beacon. The fit is a little baggy but nice that the cuffs fit over unbuckled ski boots. I have been getting 2-3 seasons of hard use out of these pants so the price to durability ratio seems right on.
