Nice colors
They don't fit as well as the other Merrell's I have bought. One shoe is slighly smaller than the other one.

Comfy shoes with a major design flaw
These are comfortable shoes. No problems out of the box. The problem is they are so hard to get on. If I had known they were this difficult to put on I would not have purchased. I should have sent them back. But I needed a pair of walking shoes right away. I think the way the opening is designed is a major flaw in these shoes.

Frustrating Process
Following the size guide on the item page, I ordered a half size up, up to size 9. The shoes took 10 days to get to me, and unfortunately, they are too large. Now I have print a return label, ship them back, and wait for Merrell to receive my return before they ship my replacement in a smaller size. The whole process is very slow and I wish I had ordered them from a different website.

Not for larger boned ankles!
The shoes are cute, and besides, the constricted ankle are comfortable on the foot bed and elsewhere. You really have to work to get your foot in without the laces, allowing the tongue to open, and I felt some pinching and digging on my ankles when trying them out. I have the basic Alpine sneakers and I love them and was looking for a similar fit with a new look. Just didn’t work for me.

Not the quality of Merrill. Not much support and run wide. It is a disappointing purchase

DO NOT SIZE UP!!!!
My feet just flopped around in these after sizing up as site recommended. They are really wide too. This will be my first Merrell return, because I love their shoes!!!

Cute…but actually injured my foot 🥺
I have been wearing Moabs for many years on my daily 4-5km walks, so I was excited to try the Alpine Sneaker, expecting similar performance & comfort. Unfortunately in the first week of wearing these after only a 30 min walk I developed pain in the ball of my left foot. It was sore the rest of the day & the next morning was very swollen & tender to the point I was limping. I ended up needing to stop my walks and rest for over a week, wearing a metatarsal cushion to allow my foot to heal. I can only think this was caused by the shoe, the footbed seems quite rigid so maybe that? Nothing else was out of the ordinary & I’ve never had this kind of issue with my feet before. These shoes are cute & the colours are stylish, but they actually injured me so I cannot recommend them if you plan on walking in them for more than half an hour.
