My go-to t-shirt
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has become my go-to t-shirt for everyday and travel wear. Comfortable in all weather. Needs infrequent washing. My only suggestion is to add tall sizing for us longer guys.

Really nice quality merino T shirt. It’s the lightest weight merino I’ve bought. And usually I like base layers that fit snug. This fits more like a traditional T shirt.

Lightweight, breathable, and insanely soft. What more could you want!? I love the tapered, athletic fit which fits my 6 foot, 180 lb body (medium,). I've taken this running and hiking already...So good!

Itchiest wool shirt I own

I love wool tshirts and long underwear, but this shirt is the worst I've had. I even have a similar piece from icebreaker and it's better, though still not as soft/non-itchy as my other wool shirts. It's honestly to the point that I won't wear it anymore, even after multiple washings. I may try fabric softener or something to see if it will soften up, but not hopeful. I know icebreaker is popular, but after two attempts I'm done.

I bought this wanting a base layer for hiking and touring. My preference is towards athletic fit and this ain't it. I'm 6'1" and 165 but I fluctuate up to 175 (even 185 2 years ago) and this in a medium would still be too big around the torso for any of those versions of myself. I'm not going to bother to return it since we're in the middle of COVID right now and it gets the job done. I don't expect a small to fit me. I'll update after a wash since I may be incorrect about whether merino shrinks. EDIT: after 1-2 washes, the fit is good. raising from 2 to 4 stars.

Bought two of these for tropical PT/hiking/trail runs, and have been pleased so far. Hasn't pilled yet or developed holes. Medium is listed as too small for me (42 chest, 32 waist) but is a good fit and length for its purpose. Even for around town, a L would be way too baggy.

Went day hiking in Carolina Sandhills National Nature Preserve in 80+ degree heat and high humidity. This shirt checked all the boxes: * Did not notice I was wearing a shirt, so it was comfortable. * Did not notice just how hot it had gotten by the end of the hike (hiked 7 AM till Noon), so it kept me cool. * Did not notice how drenched in sweat I was even tho the shirt was wet, so the wicking and "dryness" factor was phenomenal. * Roomy without being baggy, clean silhouette, lightweight material. I also saw an endangered woodpecker, would I have seen it without this shirt on? We will never know...

It fits me very well. I am 6'3 and 175 lbs, so tall and thin, and the size Medium fits me perfectly. I like how the front and rear are just ever so slightly longer than the sides, they have a very light "swoop" to them. I wore it in hot weather (90+F), in the sun, and it kept me cool. Wicks well and dries fast. I bought 2 colors: Driftwood Heather and Black Heather. Both look great. I especially like the Driftwood because it's a light brown/grayish/heather earthy color, and I don't have any other color shirts like it, so it's nice to own a new color that still looks good on me. The girlfriend really likes it so what more can I say? The only thing I think could make it better is if the sleeves were just a tad shorter, but that's just personal preference. Saw some reviewers knocking it because it was too big for a baselayer, well this piece isn't meant to be a baselayer. It's a regular fit, and thus is more of an every day summer shirt that can be worn lounging at home, out for drinks, or hiking in hot weather. If you are looking for a baselayer, get something that says baselayer in the name, and has a slim/fitted type of fit, and is 100% merino wool. That is what a baselayer should be.
