Camp Chef redesigned the Everest 2X Mountain Series Stove with a sleeker style that still holds all the features that made the original Everest a staple in our weekend camping arsenal. It still holds two 20K burners fitted with matchless ignitions and appliance-like temperatures controls. Our favorite feature is the integrated drip tray that lets us clean out the stove quickly and efficiently.

Great stove!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I love this stove. I wanted one that was big enough for my 12 inch cast iron and 10 inch fry pan with room to spare. Plus, it has a great simmer feature!

Outstanding Stove!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are multi day rafters and overlanders and climbers. This is the best double burner table top stov3 we have ever used. These two 20,000btu burners are outstanding with tons of power and control. Make an Everest 1X and people will love it too! Same burning, and 1X smaller package!

Great stove!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
After watching and reading a bunch of reviews about the top stove for car camping, I chose the Camp Chef Everest 2X...and it does not disappoint! The igniter works every time and the flame is very adjustable, even in the wind. Set up is simple and so is clean up. The 20k BTU burners made cooking with cast iron a breeze. I even fit a 6 qt Dutch oven on one side the cook top. I can see this stove being the last one I'll ever buy.

Best ever
Bought this 2 years ago. I have been acquainted with Coleman stoves most of my life, but thoroughly blown out by this stove. Does Coleman make a great stove? You bet’cha. But this stove means I can cook anything I can get the ingredients near the stove. Best country flapjacks ever. Fabulous beef bean and cheese Dutch oven dish. I can use my old Lodge cast iron, or my newish gsi dualist, even that can make great pancakes if I can stop making them an inch and a half thick!

Well Made and Powerful
I have not used my Everest 2X camping yet but did test it out as soon as I received it. I filled a two qt. sauce pan with 1 1/2 quarts of cold tap water (at sea level) and fired it up. On full high the water boiled in 3 minutes 50 seconds, much faster than kitchen range. Amazing high heat and it sounds like a jet engine. It also simmers at very low heat (wind was moderate) without any trouble. My only issue, which seems to have self-resolved, was one of the burner's igniter did not spark. After turning the igniter knob 5-10 times in succession it began to spark intermittently and then it worked consistently. I've only used the stove once for this test before taking it into the field so I'll have to see if it continues to ignite properly. I purchased the 2' extension hose and 1lb. canister stand for convenience and canister placement options. Bothe that hose and the included hard pipe connector worked perfectly and I did not experience any leakage (as some reported with the hard pipe) on either connector. Can't wait to cook some meals while camping. The Everest 2X seems to be a very well made unit and is capable of crazy high temps and cooking speed if necessary. Highly recommended.

Hot!
Bought the Everest for the primary purpose of making camp coffee and it heats water admirably for that endeavor. The two burners put out in my opinion a maximum amount of flame for a camp stove of this size. Low level flame adjustment is fine for simmering camp fare. Lid serves well as a wind break although the side wings are not “notched” at the stove top connection point and too easily slide out of position. After 3 bottles of fuel, the piezoelectric burner ignition no longer works. Gas bottles left connected on this particular stove will bleed empty within 24 hours. Easy to clean, overpriced given the above annoyances.

Awesome BEAST of a stove
I bought this stove last summer for a car camping trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I was frustrated with the lighter but then realized what altitude I was actually at and piezo lighters don't work so remember this when you go to altitude with it. Below 7400ish youre good. The power these burners have is amazing, great for fast cooks or for a big group. It works great with cast iron and I liked the flexibility. It boils water incredibly fast with the 20k btu burners, faster than my gas range at home. It is a little bulkier than other stoves but perfect for camping or a quick picknic, I've even used it at the sledding hills for making cocoa. I opted to get an adapter and a 5lb tank and after multiple uses I'm still well over 3/4 of a tank.

Hi Camp Chef! I was wondering, will this Everest 2x fit two, 10.25" cast iron pans, since the walls of cast iron pans flare out a little bit (not straight up and down)?? Thanks so much!!! :)
