Strange Fit 2
I am raising my review to 5 stars. I liked the shoe well enough after breaking it in to buy another one, half a size larger, and that feels slightly too large. My knees appreciate the extra cushion.

Strange fit
I have 3 pairs of the Olympus 5 GTX high rise and love them. They fit perfectly. But the low rise is hard to get on and is too narrow, mainly at the bridge. Oddly though, they feel OK, tight at the bridge, loose on the rest of the foot, once I have walked a bit. I have worn them for 3 days all day, doing 10K steps per day on New York sidewalks and they feel OK once I get over the initial period

Short term comfort
Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. But the price it too much for how long they last. I've had two pairs of these and they both squeak annoyingly loud. They both tear up very easy. They just fall apart in a couple months. But the waterproofing is great.

Great snow shoes
Awesome shoe. Have had multiple pairs of Olympus 4 and 5 w/o GORE-TEX. Took a bit to break it in compared to non GORE-TEX Olympus 5. Burly shoes. Good traction. Quite a few miles and looks and functions great. Great for winter hikes and walk daily to work. Fit is good but had to order 1/2 size larger.

Lack durability
Lugs separated from soles almost immediately, and repeatedly, on all my Olympus shoes. (4 pairs) Repaired with shoe glue, but then other lugs peeled off. Would be great if they lasted.

I love the non GTX Olympus 5, this shoe isn't the same
I have the non GTX and I love those. The waterproof aspect is fine but the fit is very tight. I have the same shoe in the same size except this one is waterproof and it feels like different sizes. The laces are too short and the ankle loop that was perfect on the non GTX is tiny and sucks now. Pulling on your shoes is much easier with a loop that fits two fingers and is an inch wide unlike this new one that only fits one finger and isn't as wide as a shoelace.

Yes...
Great shoe .... But prefer it a half size larger than normal . Wear 11 in other Altra's and these had to be 11.5 , it's a bit narrow mid shoe but workable and get better with break in..

One of the, if not, the most comfortable trail running shoe
I do a minimum of a 5 mile trail run with a weighted vest multiple times a week and more. After a year the shoes are still in relatively great shape. My only complaint is after 8 months a piece of the tread is flapping around. But they are still good to run in and still extremely comfortable.

Best hiker in years
Having read others' views, I ordered a half size up (from 7.5 to 8) and it is just great. It is of course WP, so doubtless too hot for warm weather, but in the 15-45 deg. range I've used it these last 135 miles on trails and gravel, it is luxurious and secure. All-day 13 mile section of Superior Hiking Trail and no hot-spots, no skids, no pain. Yes, it is a pity that no gaiter trap.. can't imagine what made them do that with a WP hiker.

No
After two pair of Lone Peak All WTHR, I really wanted these to fit. Despite being 12 USA Medium, same as the Lone Peak... they were tight mid foot. Toe box was tighter but workable, mid foot, as another reviewer mentioned is just too tight for comfort yet the heal area loose. How can an original fit be so different? Construction looks amazingly good but for a much different foot than mine
