Be ready, not sweaty.
The importance of gear that can handle any situation increases the more time you spend on your bike. All-day epics can be compromised by compromised equipment. For the varying temperatures and conditions you may encounter on the trails, throw on the ZOIC Black Market Convertible Pants, and know that you're ready for anything.
The Black Market Convertible Pants function perfectly as long-legged technical riding pants when you want them to be. They 4-way-stretch nylon/spandex blend is tough, light, and breathable, and ZOIC's Fusion gusseted inseam allows for a full range of motion without looseness that could get caught on your saddle when moving your body around. When the trail dries out, or when the temperatures start to climb, the legs' lowers easily zip off and can be stashed in your backpack, leaving you with 10-inch-inseam shorts and that wonderful feeling of flowing air. For fit, you'll find an integrated snap buckle and adjustably nylon webbing belt, and for practicality, there's a host of different pockets, as well as reflective details front and back to increase your visibility to traffic, should the ride begin or end with the sun beyond the horizon.
The ZOIC Black Market Convertible Pants do not include a padded liner. They come in the color Black and in six sized, from Small to XXX-Large.

Beware of Sizing
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: large
- Height: 6'1"
- Weight: 173lbs
The fabric is soft and has the feel of athletic gear, but it does not stretch very much, which was a significant problem for me because I could barely get these pants over my thighs. The cut is very slim, so if you have developed some muscle in your thighs from doing something like...cycling, you will want to order one size up. I am 6'1" tall, 173 lbs, and wear pants with a 32" waist. I ordered size large, and could barely get my thighs through the part of the pants where the shorts and leggings zip together. The waist was also small, although the shorts fit okay through the seat. Hoping size XL fits because I think these will be great for commuting.
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I got these on a Friday and did a 40 mile charity ride in them on Sunday. Love the fit! You need to trust the sizing guide, I'd usually go medium and the guide says large - Perfect fit. Pockets in all the right places, though the media pocket won't hold my Galaxy S3... I figure eventually everybody will realize the iPhone is NOT the only one on the market.
The fabric is stretchy and very comfy. The zip off legs were perfect on that ride... We had a very chilly start! I will be able to wear these at work - I own a personal training studio. They look great and move very well.
