The Yeti Cycles Freeland 2.0 Shorts are designed to keep you moving, not just pedaling. From the gusseted crotch to the 2-way stretch construction, the Freeland allows you to shift in any direction without restriction. We like that this short is perfectly designed for post-work rides and lunchtime sessions. Glide patches ensure your pedal strokes won't be inhibited by friction while zippered thigh vents allow you to release heat when you're cranking hard. A webbing waist adjustment and a silicone grip strip ensure the shorts hold their position as you ride, and Yeti added a DWR treatment to help the shorts shed mud and stains.

Very long shorts

Comfortable shorts. They are definitely on the long side and are not the lightest feeling shorts for sure. Not downhill heavy or anything but I'm more likely to wear these ones than any of my other shorts for cool weather riding.

Great shorts
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- M

Comfy, waist straps that actually work, and enough pockets. amazing! Responding to MM's review -- yes, the thighs each have 2 zips on them. Outer thigh zips access phone pockets; front thigh zips are vents. Also has 2 front hand pockets, useful for keys and wallet in the car but no zips so empty them out before riding.

I "assumed" those zippers were access to a pocket to put your phone, or a gel,key etc. Nope they go straight thru. I guess theyre vents?

Best MTB shorts

There are the best MTB shorts I?ve come across. Lightweight, fits well, good length, and stylish. The adjustable waist is a great feature too, and I?ve sized up for preferred fit. I?ve found the durability to be pretty good. I?ve washed them many times without issue.
