Could be better

I've used it several times

While these racks seem to be sturdy and well made, the first time I used them all the letters tore off during a drive to Vermont in heavy rain. Has no impact on the function of the equipment but Yakima is suppose to be a premium brand and not have defects like this during the first use. Instillation is a little cumbersome too, need to re-tighten the clamps multiple times before it snaps shuts securely. Also make sure you have lock de-ice when using it during cold or snowy weather as it is very difficult to get the key in the lock when cold or icy.

simple and straightforward. Less wind noise than other racks i've used.

As Advertised!! Easy Install As Well!!!

I've put it through the wringer

I've had this ski rack fixed and set up on the Yakima Round Bars in the past and it works perfectly as you'd expect!

Nice Quadruple Ski Rack

I've used it several times

Really easy to put on a Subaru Outback. Easy to use and seems to keep skis really secure. I have only tried it with 2 pairs of skis so far, but looks to be plenty of room for 2 more in there.

Easy Does It

I've put it through the wringer

This Yakima Rack is a winner- it is super easy to set up, easy to use day to day, and it looks pretty good too. It is super easy to click & release for the most part- it can get a little tricky if it's super frozen though. Another great feature is that it comes with the locks, so you can lock down your gear when you want to go in for an apres beer. It's definitely not completely aerodynamic- it's still a chunk poking up from the roof of your car- but I don't find it to be very noisy at all. If you're in the market for a ski rack, look no further- the Fatcat Evo is a great functional rack!
