Silverado Pro Saddle

Strap WTB's Silverado Pro Saddle to your cross-country whip or road bike and hit the dusty trail or freshly-paved blacktop. The Silverado's time-tested long and narrow design supports your body especially well on steep climbs, but allows you complete freedom of movement when pedaling.

With a slight rise in the back and long, tapered nose, the Silverado blends comfort and control, and has just enough contoured DNA padding to keep you feeling like a million bucks on long XC or road rides. The Flex-Tuned shell is responsive but not hard and uncomfortable, and the Silverado Pro's Cro-Moly steel rails are durable, affordable, and keep the saddle weighing just north of 200g, so you can use it for all your rides without getting unnecessarily bogged down.

  • A long and narrow saddle for trail and tarmac
  • Slight rise in back keeps you forward and in control
  • Contoured DNA padding cushions from harsh trail chatter
  • Flex-tuned shell moves with you and damps vibrations
  • Durable, affordable Cro-Moly steel rails keep you going

hmmm

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

well reviewing a seat is like me explaining why I love my underwear. I love it, it works, it matches me, I have no reason to believe others don't like it. BUT it is very personal... so go try a bunch and see what you like. This one for me is great. I ride it a degree up nose from level and it fit's my flexibility and bone structure well. I have narrow hips and bones, and the width seems to match up just fine. I have tried the Silverado, Speed and Volt, and this one seems to do the trick for me. No numbness, no chaffing, no problems.

Well said. Love the underwear analogy.

sits

I put my butt on it! it holds my butt. Not the most comfy seat. It's on my single speed so I don't use it that often

First WTB saddle I did not love.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have used numerous WTB saddles over the years, and have enjoyed all of them until this one. I have put approximatly 300 miles on my Silverado Saddle hoping I would get used to it, however, I never did. I think my biggest issue with the saddle is the relatively flat top that does not have a lot of curve on the sides. On longer rides this flat shape would cause some thigh rub as opposed to the Volt of the Hightail which has a slightly sloping shape. If you are looking for a relatively flat saddle then this one could be perfect for you.

Creaks galore

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

If you like a nice noisy saddle - this is the one for you. Third ride out and this thing started to creak. Ck'd all the usual culprits, post, bolts etc. and eventually tracked it down to this saddle - where the rails enter the nose. Noisiest saddle I've ever used. It is comfortable, seems like a good price on first plush but for this rider who likes his bikes whisper quiet - totally unusable saddle. Back it goes.

I've had the same experience with the new WTB Silverado saddle on my Ibis Ripmo. I thought it was a problem with the dropper post clamp, but it was the connection between the rails and the saddle as John M. said above. Very disappointing as I have no easy recourse on a bike ordered online. I hope this is the only WTB saddle with this problem and this is the reason for the heavily discounted price on CC.

best seat ever

I love the silverado, I have 3 of them on my bikes, for me its the most comfortable seat I have ever owned, and fits my tushy perfectly. Seats are hard but I absolutely love the silverado!
