    Lightweight and handmade.

A technical rod for two-handed anglers, the Wetfly USA Hydrocarbon 2-Hand Spey Rod is designed for spending long days in the river. It is responsive and lightweight, thanks to its high-modulus materials, so you can have precise action without exhausting yourself. Its extended butt section is stiff to help you turn over larger flies and fight with feisty fish once you set the hook. This graphite rod is hand-made in the USA, and Wetfly promises personal attention to detail for every piece. It's a work of art that should be protected, so the Hydrocarbon comes with a rod tube to ensure you can travel with peace of mind.

    Excellent Spey Rod

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Used this rod for steelhead fishing in Oregon and swinging for silvers in Alaska. I would call it a 6.5 wt with enough power to cast across medium-large rivers while turning over big flies, but also light enough to feel the fish more acutely than you would on a 7 or 8. I felt my casts were sharp and precise. You can really feel the rod load, which I appreciate. I would highly recommend as a versatile spey rod for everything but the biggest rivers.
