Switchback Splitboard

Gearing up your backcountry kit can not only be a chore to figure out, but also isn't easy on the wallet. Weston introduced the Switchback Splitboard as a budget-friendly splitboard to get you on the skintrack that doesn't miss out on a all-star construction or performance. Featuring a Multi Radial Camber Rocker profile that is cambered between the feet with early rise tips, the Switchback offers a powerful, controlled ride with added float for everything from slaying steep powder runs to jumping off natural features. A setback stance increases confidence on steep terrain, and a lightweight construction allows efficient strides without weighing you down and draining your energy. The Medium flex offers stability and response when you find yourself in steeper terrain, but isn't too stiff to limit having fun in powder and still provides a surfy feel to spark creativity. Why sacrifice top-level construction at a cost that's easy to swallow? Well, there's no need with the Switchback Splitboard.

  • Get into the backcountry with this entry-level splitboard
  • Medium flex is responsive and stable while offering a fun feel
  • Multi Radial Camber Rocker offers a powerful but forgiving ride
  • Directional shape adds extra float and precision in steep terrain
  • Stalwart wood core is made up of lightweight, yet strong poplar
  • Tri-Axe laminates increase torsional rigidity for energy transfer
  • Karakoram Ultra Clips pull the halves together to reduce slop

What do you think about this product?

What sizing is recommended for 175lbs not including pack, clothing, etc. So 185-190 ride weight, intermediate rider. I was thinking 157 because 164 seem really big for my height of 5'7" and barely advanced intermediate skill

Hey hey Daniel, I agree that the 157 is the way to go for your height / weight and skill level. While I think the 164 would work, I believe the 157 is the better choice.
