Sequoia MF Sleeping Bag
Don't settle for constrictive bags when Western Mountaineering's semi-rectangular Sequoia MF 5 Degree Down Sleeping Bag could be warming you in freezing temperatures. Ideal for the shoulder seasons and most winter adventures, the Sequoia's 850+ down insulation has the loftiest fill rating, resulting in the highest warmth to weight ratio available on the market. Unlike most water-resistant shells, Western Mountaineering's MicroLite XP fabric offers long-lasting weather protection. The MicroLite XP shell helps the down retain its lofty warmth in moisture-riddled environments.Western Mountaineering critically thought out the bag's design to the smallest details, making the Sequoia a long-lasting and very versatile choice. A differential cut places more fabric at the lining to ensure maximum loft inside the bag, and continuous baffles allow you to shift the bag's down towards the top or bottom for more or less warmth. Hook-and-loop tabs let you pull the hood, draft tube, and draft collar farther or closer to you for customized coverage. Extra convenient features include dual zippers on the left or right side, a waterproofed stuff sack, and a storage sack with a large volume that helps the bag retain its loft overtime.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I own this bag and recently purchased one for a family member. We both love it. I have taken mine on several camping trips, and it has held up great. It is warm, packs down easily, and has held up nicely.
Never should have waited so long
Suffered in mummy's, or carted huge rectangle in order to rest comfortable, finally bit the bullet and got a perfect bag for my sleeping style. Should have save all the money I spent on other bags, and went to this bag sooner. Gear head William was great to deal with also, thanks.
First Western Bag
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I am someone who does like some room when I sleep. And when I know it will be cold out, I go to my 5 degree Sequoia every time. This was the first Western bag I ever purchased, so it holds a soft spot in my heart!
Even when it's not so cold, I can move the down from the top to the bottom, so I don't overheat. Great versatility!

Western Mountaineering Sequoia Bag
Best bag ever! I got this for my brother and he is OBSESSED. He needed something comfy and warm for when he goes hunting during the fall/winter months and this bag was perfect. He can't stop raving about it.
Best Bag Ever!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
This bag is so comfy and warm. I'm a larger gal (5'9, size 16) and this sleeping bag allows me room to breath. I can cinch it down to keep the warmth in. I bought it for snow camping with the Sierra Club's WTC course I help teach every winter. I am so pleased that I bit the bullet and paid for a REALLY AWESOME BAG! Now everyone I teach with is jealous...
Can't seem to edit my first review on the iPhone app. That temperature should read 9°F. Also, bag, being 6 foot six in length will squeeze into a Sea to Summit size Med stuff sack.
Been a fan of WMs bags for years. Always used a mummy style, but thought I would try a semi rectangular bag. What a revelation, the Sequoia! Very very roomy, much easier to sleep on my side or on my belly than with my Alpinlight or Puma-though I still love those two bags. Had the Sequoia down to 9°F and it was so warm I had to unzip the top of the bag. :)got to love Western Mountaineering.
