I know it’s a high price tag but there is justification. The way they get the down is what makes it guilt free purchase for me. I hate animal cruelty but Unfortunately people aren’t aware how cheap down company’s harvest the feathers. It’s a cruel process. This bag is hand made and feels it will last a long time and it’s incredibly warm. The width of this bag is great if your bigger. I had 300.00 bags before this and they are never as warm as they say and they never last very long. This is windproof and water resistant. It’s worth the extra weight but backs down well. I’d say invest in future and quality and good companies that respect animals and environment. We need hold other companies to a higher standard and not just buy what’s the “cheapest”.

Warm and comfy
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
My first trip out with this bag - Lassen Volcanic National Park with a my Boy Scout Troop - I am an ASM. This bag was warm and comfy even in 15 degree night. I normally need to sleep in multi-layers, but with this bag, there was no need, also, no cold air sneaking in through zipper or around neck. And one of the other great things - as a semi-rectangular, I could actually move around. Slept too well - did not want to get up. Thank you BackCountry and Thank you Western Mountaineering - and most of all thank you Sweetie (my wife) who bought it for me.
