Western mountaineering is amazing. Their stuff is never on sale because it is worth the price tag. This bag packs down to literally nothing. Having a heavy backpack can ruin your trip, being cold at night can ruin your trip. Plan ahead and prepare by buying the right gear. I also have western mountaineering 15° Apache which I can layer my everlite summer bag with for added warmth. Having a nice light summer bag is also useful for winter camping. Gear with multiple use and purpose is always worth it. Plus lifetime warranty is a bonus.

Thank you so much Paul! Happy Trails! Leta Western Mountaineering Rep

So light weight. Packs so small. Kept me warm in August at 12k feet in the high sierra when the temps got to low 40's. I plan to used this in the winter as a liner in my summer bag. These two bags combined are lighter than my winter bag. Also makes a great blanket when hanging out in camp. A good insulated ground pad is a must with this bag. Update: People might want to know, there is no zipper on the bottom. There is a pull string to close the bottom. Only a side zipper.

I have a WM Caribou MF and Apache MF both of which I've used for many years. Wanted something really light to take as emergency backup or for warmer months or sleeping in huts or to bring along when I'm pushing lower limits of Apache at 15 degrees. Really great little bag. Pretty warm. Used it down to mid 40's and I was perfectly fine. Only gripe - which is a bit of a stretch - is that I wish it had something on the non-opening end of the stuff sack to grab onto when pulling the bag out of said stuff sack. But did I mention how tiny this is when in the stuff sack? It's comically small. WM quality is really the best. My friend with whom I backpack frequently saw this new bag and commented "you only buy their stuff." Once you go WM you never go back. It's made domestically, the quality is unmatched, and it lasts forever. I've had the Caribou for a really long time - it's still in perfect shape and you'd be hard pressed to find anything even incrementally better. That's WM.

The EverLite was such a great addition to the Western line up. This bag can give me extra warmth for my 20 degree bag as a bag liner, or on those really warm summer nights, it's all I need. Having the quilt option is awesome as well, so I can open it up and share! :-) As always, Western quality is second to none, and the down they use is unbelievable. Finally, i LOVE that it is made is=n San Jose, CA! They started there 45 years ago, and have never left! Enjoy! Leta Western Mountaineering Rep

Could you tell me if the zipper is a double zipper - as in - you can unzip from top and bottom?

The Western Mountaineering site says this can be an over bag but this site calls it a liner. Is there a mistake? Does anyone know how it’s supposed to be used?
