All-mountain beast with a racer's heart.

The cat crew didn't technically spend all night laying down that cashmere corduroy just for you, but it'll sure feel like they did when you're carving it to bits on the Volkl RTM 84 Ski with the iPT Wideride 14.0 D Binding. Made for aggressive skiers who love to lay down on edge on the frontside and occasionally venture off-piste, the RTM has two layers of titanium for a powerful, responsive ride, with stiff tips and a mildly soft mid-body flex for a feel that's smoother than buttered silk sheets. The Extended Sensorwood poplar and beech core is light and snappy, with ridges that align with the edges to increase power transfer and stability in the turn, and dual XTD Transmission Sidewalls that prevent chatter and squirreliness when you're blasting through chunder or chunky snow.

The RTM's a full-on frontside charger, but it does have a party piece that helps in conquer soft snow as well—a full rocker profile. Five years ago, you would've been burned at the stake for building a carving ski with full rocker, but as folks have begun to appreciate how a rockered profile planes over rough snow, eases turn initiation, and helps you vary your turn shapes, rockered skis have been taking over all over the mountain. Accordingly, the RTM handles chop, powder, and uneven snow better than you'd think, making it a solid daily driver for skiers who like to sample most of what the mountain offers.

The RTM 84 also comes equipped with an iPT Wideride 14.0 D binding, which is 30% wider than standard frontside bindings for improved precision and power transmission, letting you get over your edges and control your skis with ease. With a DIN range from 5-14, it'll work for riders of virtually every size and ability, and you won't have to waste time getting your boards mounted up before you hit the hill.
