Must Have For Your Skins
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Skins without clips are doable, but they are not fun. Lock those bad boys down with the tail clips. There is a bit of basic assembly that goes with it but a nail and hammer are about all you need to get the snaps onto your skins. There are several YouTube videos if you are unsure of the process though. Tail clips make your skins easier to put on and much more stable when they aree on the board or skis. Voile's system is nice to use with several size adjustments that you are able to lock into.
Definitely a Must
I just mounted a set of these a few weeks ago onto a set of Voile skins I've got. If you've got any questions about these tail clips, Voile products or splitboarding gear, feel free to hit me up as building a split set up can be a bit of a pain.
This is why I down graded these from 5 stars to 4 stars. It was a bit of a pain since I didn't have all the tools I would have liked handy. Just expect this to take a little time.
I like how easy adjusting the tail clips are. I swap these out between a few split boards that vary in length. Pretty easy.
Hit me up with any questions about these tail clips, Voile products or if you'd like some help building your split set up.
Too Short -
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I BD Acension skins that were part of my Voile Mojo 166 package I bought back in '09. Unfortunately these aren't long enough to use on my Rossi XV 168CM, they just aren't long enough.
I should mention that I have not trimmed the skins previously. It would be helpful if the MFG's provided a length for the tail clips.
