    Consistent performance in unexpected conditions.

Built with a durable, open tubular casing, the Vittoria Corsa Control G Plus Tire - Clincher has an excellent foundation to tackle the greasy cobbles so often found on the spring classics, and features its revolutionary graphene technology at the tread for an impressive mix of low rolling resistance, durability, and all-weather grip. The Corsa Control G Plus and all of Vittoria's graphene-infused tires are the culmination of a collaboration between Vittoria and an external company, Directa Plus, to adopt a carbon compound known as graphene for use in bike tires. The resulting compound, known as, G Isotech, promises less rolling resistance, increased grip, along with the durability and wear resistance that makes Vittoria a favorite in the pro peloton.

By adding graphene to the compound's mix, it gives the racer or any cyclist that values performance, enhanced traction, increased durability, and reduces rolling resistance. It provides the most impressive strength-to-weight ratio we've seen from the brand and it's no surprise that this tire gets called upon when the parcours is challenging and the pace will certainly be À bloc from the gun. The Corsa Control is especially suited to the harsh conditions typical of a spring classic, and the Isotech compound is appreciated as the tire can roll fast in both dry and wet conditions while offering confident cornering and handling while you're duking it out on the Tuesday Night World Championships in variable conditions on local rolling country roads.

We can appreciate that a fast tire doesn't mean squat if it punctures easily, so it's refreshing to know that the inclusion of graphene creates an incredibly durable tire and, along with the Corespun K casing that's reinforced for increased sidewall protection, this tire won't cut your race or ride short. The handmade casing is the result of cotton fibers twisted together to create one yarn, and the high-TPI casing is significantly suppler than other casings offering a distinctive ride quality that rides better over rough roads the faster you go.

    • All condition road tire that stands up to demanding conditions
    • 320 TPI Corespun casing offers a supple ride
    • Tread sipe clears water for extra traction
    • The pro's choice for the classics
    • Graphene compound improves grip, lowers rolling resistance, and improves durability

    Sick Winter Tires

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

To start things off, I'm going to be very honest in this review... I'm typically a Continental 4000S II tire kind of girl.. always have, always will be. So when it came time to put these on my wheels, I was a little hesitant because I was afraid of all the potential flats. Here in Utah, I ride in a lot of farmland areas where goat head stickers are everywhere, as well as the busy canyons that have broken glass and other stuff from heavy winter use so I was basically just expecting to flat no matter where I'd ride. NOPE.
The first ride was a good 4 hour day which involved 3k of climbing and lots of farmland as well... NO FLATS. It has to be fluke right? So I rode the next day, then the next and realized okay it's time to pay attention to other things instead of potential flats. Once I started paying attention to the ride quality I really started to like these.. a lot. Well, how else could I put these to the test? Race them. I went and raced a weekly crit in these.. GREAT TRACTION. These tires are sticky, light, durable, and can corner well in fast turns (no it wasn't a lady crit, it was with men and women's cat 1,2's so we were cookin' on those turns!). Verdict? I'd ride these again but wouldn't make them my "go-to" tire. That's probably just a personal preference thing.. but it is PERSONAL.
Their overall purpose? I think these are a great winter tire to be honest.. the textured surface allows for increased grip on wet, uneven, crap all over the place, roads and is pretty firm for a road tire. A little too stiff for my personal riding preference but WONDERFUL overall.

    Who wants to go fast?

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have really enjoyed these tires. They are light and supple, for sure. The weight lets you take the descent fast, and the suppleness lets you lean into turns with confidence. They may not be the toughest, or longest lasting, but they are a great race tire. I use the regular Corsa G Plus for my everyday tire.

    Fast Race Tire

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've used these tires for about a month, they're super fast and lightweight. I would recommend only using these tires on race day/ on your race wheels as they're quite supple and thin. Check out the Rubino Pro Speed G Plus for training.
