Since complete protein accounts for 68% of Vega's Chlorella, it's safe to say that this little green algae is a single-cell protein machine. The other 32% is also pretty impressive, comprising antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and more vitamins and minerals than your typical enriched grain cereal could ever dream of. The result is a heady cocktail of healthful side effects, including boosted immune functions and improved eye, skin, bone, and teeth health. If you think you can do without those as an endurance athlete, then Chlorella probably isn't for you. But if you agree with us that those things may at some point come in handy while training and competing, then join us in club green.

- Q & A
As whole food, rather than a concentrated extract Chlorella can be taken in large amounts with no unpleasant lasting side effects. Chlorella has not been found to have a single detrimental affect on human health. It is almost impossible to take too much Chlorella.
However, because of Chlorella's natural ability to remove toxins from our cells and tissues, some temporary reactions may occur in individuals with a high level of intestinal toxic build-up, including bloating, nausea and slight fever.
Because the skin is also an excretory organ of cleansing, some individuals may initially experience acne, pimples, rashes, boils or eczema. This is a sign of the body's attempts to regain internal balance as it actively works to expel toxins.
These cleansing symptoms may occur in a small number of people for 2-3 days. These reactions are most prevalent in those who need Chlorella's cleansing powers the most.
An abundance of nutrients from sea algae, as a source of energy for my workouts. I trust the Vega line to offer a high quality product.
