    Excellent shoes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been wearing these shoes for years with no issues. They hold up well, support well and stand up to stress. I never have to try them on-they are true to size and fit the same way each time. I would highly recommend them.

    Hiking boot for her

I bought these for my Gf and she really loves them. They are made really well and they're super comfortable. You can tell that they're quality when you see them in person.

Reliable. Sturdy. Comfy for daily use.

Bought these shoes for hiking and they eventually became my daily stompers. Love that they are reliably waterproof and can hold up on long hikes. Plus, I've worked an endless amount 8hr shifts in these shoes and haven't experienced discomfort with their great support.

    Toe box trauma

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Height: 63'0"

I bought these shoes for the Camino trail hike.
On day one I walked 20+kms(22.75 to be exact) w/o problems.
On day two I walked 25Kms. Going down not so steep hills I began experiencing greater toe problems on both feet. I rested on the third day.
On the fourth day I walked 19.2 kms. When I checked my toes the nail beds had accumulated fluids and blood that were drained.
Bottom line, I will soon be loosing my greater toe nails thanks to these shoes.
I had used them before to walk up to 5 miles w/o problems.

    Great lightweight hiker

This is my third pair of the Vasque Mantra 2.0. I love the way this shoe fits but it does seem like the toe box might be a tad wider in this last pair. I love that they are waterproof and that you can wear them and your feet never feel wet. I spent the last year in Vermont where it rains what seems like non-stop. These boots were incredible for that type of weather. I made a point to never jump over a puddle but walk right through it. Great support but probably not the best for a heavy backpack.

    Not your average "shoe"

I bought this shoe along with two others to test. I kept these mainly because my toes didn't hit the front on a downhill. At first, I wasn't sure how they would be on the trail. The tongue of the shoe wasn't as comfortable (but it did loosen up and do fine) and the cushion in them was less than I wanted (but was perfect for the trail). I returned yesterday from a 7 day hiking trip to the Dolomites in Italy. Everyday I sang the praises of these shoes. I walked through mud, scree, rain, and boulders. Lots of technical hiking and lots of miles and had no foot pain. I have low volume, low arch feet so I did put my superfeet inserts in them. If you have problems with ankle stability, I wouldn't recommend them on technical terrain since they are low cut. They are a great boot/shoe.
