So good, I bought a 2nd pair!

The first pair of these shoes have lasted me 2 years; 2 years of installing solar on hot asphalt roofs, and serious hikes throughout Utah! The traction is phenomenal, whether you are on the edge of a 3 story roof, backpacking in the Uintas (I personally have gotten away from high top boots), or used as an approach shoe to climb the West Slabs of Olympus. Lightweight, breathable, durable, one of the best all around shoes out there.

why don't you deliver in UK! I am really looking forward for a pair of Vasque men juxt miltisport shoes.please deliver to UK or email me the reason of not delivering to UK

Love these shoes! My third pair and all have been consistent quality. Just use them for all-around shoes. I hike in other ones that are Gore-tex but these would be very comfortable for hiking. Fit true to size, comfortable right out of the box. The Aluminum/Chili color is great because it works both for khaki/tan as well as grey color pants.

great looking, lasted 7 years

These were a great casual hiking shoe, the inner lining at the heel started to shred after about 5 years and the outer started to fail after about 6 years, finally tripped over something and my toes are out so time for new shoes. No issues with the bottom lug at all. I don't like the laces, they are flat and kink very easily, but an easy upgrade.

Great shoe, right out of the box

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

I'm a 61 year old retired paratrooper with the ankles and knees to prove it. My first pair of hiking boots were a pair of Vasque I bought in 1970 and they lasted for over a decade with multiple vibram resoles. I got tired of buying Merrills and having the inner lining fall apart at the heel after 6 months of use and had some deployed colleagues recommend the Juxt. My foot is an 11M and out of the box these fit like a glove with a pair of Thorlo Light Hiking socks. I know they wont last as long as my first pair of Vasque boots but that's OK. It just gives me an excuse to come back and shop around on Back Country, like I need one.

Good looking shoe

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these as a gift, and they looked pretty nice. I haven't heard back from him on how they worked (still a little snowy here) but they look like good quality!

I still use them but am not 100% happy, the sole in particular is not great and maybe it's because they're so wide that I don't find them comfortable enough to go on longer hikes with them.

Started out a bit uncomfortable but they molded to my foot quickly. I'm 6'2 , 265lbs and feel that these will actually last compared to others in this price range. I have one ankle that requires inversion and these provide just enough to avoid strain. They are a bit risky to use in wet conditions if you're not anticipating slippage. I have wide feet and was able to fit into the M. I think the W models are for clubbed foot people.!

Comfortable, but extremely poor soles

I have owned 2 pair. They are very comfortable. However, the soles are garbage. Traction is good in dry conditions. However, *VERY* slippery in wet conditions. And if that isn't bad enough, the soles wear out very quickly. I have never owned shoes or boots with soles that wore out so quickly. Overall rating: a very poor value.

I have worn Vasque for several years - always impressed with quality and comfort. This Juxt Hiking Shoe is junk - something you would expect from a Walmart. I don't know if this is the new Vasque standard or an aboration. Cheap! Cheap! Cheap! So sad

Won't buy Vasque shoes again

Bought this shoe 2 years ago, and have only worn to work (office job) during winter months...so basically just walking on pavement and snow 6 months of the year...no trails, no talus, nothing that should cause the wear I see. Already, the rubber on the heels is peeling off, and the leather has pulled away from the rubber toe piece in 2 spots. This is my first pair of Vasque shoes. It will be my only pair. They are a comfy shoe, but the quality of construction is lacking compared to other brands.

Owned these boots for two days, took them out for a test today on the trail, and man did they feel great. Its nice to have a lightweight shoe with the sole of a boot. I would strongly recommend these!

Perfect desert boot.

I work over seas, this will be my 2nd pair. I have worn them in rain, sand, over mountains and miles of concrete (urban environment) with extremely harsh and dirty environments. I would recommend this boot to anyone that has a short work deployment or vacation. They don't hold on much for 4-5 months straight. However, they do wear well and are true to size. I wear a 9 running shoe to a 9 1/2 and a 10 for a hiking/ work boot. They fit well for a 10. Being that they are a very soft sole boot, wear will show quickly if you don't use them for what they are intended for. -"Doing work". I am glad that they still sell them.

good shoes, bad Vasque

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

True to size

I am happy with these shoes. They are comfortable and fit my narrow feet well. However I am not happy with the customer service from Vasque. After a very short time, both laces broke (within a week of each other) so I called Vasque to see if they have a solution. Basically they said too bad, they couldn't help me. It is not that I was particularly upset that the laces broke prematurely, but for shoes that cost over $100 I expect that the manufacturer would be willing to figure out a solution - or even a thankyou for letting them know there were quality control problems with the laces.

Had the EXACT same experience with a different pair of Vasque boots. Mine were for a pair of St. Elias and the outdoor part of the lace ripped after about 5 wearings. When I contacted them they said they don't sell the laces and gave me web addresses of two lace sellers...neither of which carried the same lace. Blew my mind. Great boots but, it appears, crappy laces.

Like the name says they are juxt a hiking shoe...I picked these up because I needed a comfortable hiking shoe for chill hikes. I was tired of always hiking in my tight approach shoes and these fit the bill perfectly. They are light and flexible and have lots of room in the toe box so you don't crunch your toes on the downhill. They grip surprisingly well considering the non-vibram sole. They climb/scramble fairly well too. They only down side is they are awful when trying to grip wet surfaces. (Especially wet lime-stone) They are super comfy, right outta the box I took them up to the Teton glacier and had no blisters or problems with my feet at all. They do fit a bit wide which I dig coming from tight approach shoes. These are great for chill trails and scrambling on dry rock. Totally recommended. UPDATE. These suck in the snow. We had a dusting last night and I went for a hike this morning and I was slipping and sliding all over the place. They do ok un mud because of the deep tread but the rubber will not grip rocks when wet or snowy. And my feet got cold fast. Not that I expected them to be great in the snow just didn't think they would be as terrible as they are

Perfectly said.. the only other thing I would add is I have had a short lifetime with mine. 4 months and they are more than done. But I'm not very nice to them . The last two pairs have blown out right around the same time frame. Great shoe though for what they are.

I have used this shoe on many MANY trails and it works like a charm. It is light, comfy, and durable. I've even used it conyoneering at Grand Canyon and on numerous off trail excursions around the southwest including some class 4 climbs. I have never had a problem with traction. ever. Its a kick ass shoe. get it.

Worthless soles. Fine for around town.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Stylish, comfortable, fit true to size. Almost no break-in period. A shame, because they are useless as a hiker/trail runner. The soles are so surprisingly slippery on rock that I nearly fell and twisted an ankle on two separate occasions during the first 1/2 mile of a trial hike. Shocking, because the sole's pattern is aggressive and looks sturdy. The rubber, however, is not meant for real traction. Not sure why a reputable boot company like Vasque would ever make and sell a light hiker without using Vibram soles (or really any manufacturer for that matter), IMO. If they were a $40 boot, it would be a no-brainer as a comfy around-town shoe, but at their price (even the sale price),they should have a reliable and quality sole. They cannot be considered a real hiker. My Vibram soled Chaco Flip Flops have better traction...no exaggeration! Sadly, I am returning them.

How are these shoes on wide feet? Other Vasque shoes seem to run narrow.

I have narrow feet (12M) and they fit some what snug. They don't fit me like running shoes. I have a little more width room than that. They have a fairly good arch support.

Write your answer here...I usually wear a New Balance/Vasque, men's 10 wide. I bought a 10 reg. width. They fit great, and I'm hard to fit and pretty particular about my trail runners. If I find a style I like I buy as many pairs as I can (I go through them in about 8-10 months). I use them mainly for Mt. Biking as they are a good fit with my toe cages. They do look a little funky in the toe box, sorta like a bowling shoe but they are durable and seem to be holding up to the rigors of trail use. I only wear non goretex models, gore tex breaks down from dirt, sweat, and normal use a bad combination in a shoe. Good shoe for the money!
